Okay for recent college grad with lower income, but not great overall

One of the big draws of these apartments for my roommate and I was the amenities, namely the outdoor pool. However, we were soon disappointed as the pool didn’t end up opening until September, just in time for it to be closed a few weeks later. we contacted management about it we were repeatedly told that they were working on it and that the sun deck was still an option. First world problems, I know, but nonetheless. We also have a roach problem in our apartment, which management has also kept pushing aside. We keep our apartment pretty darn clean and don’t leave much laying around that would be of any interest to a roach, but they still show up in the pantry, on the kitchen counter, kitchen floor, bathroom, and bedroom. Luckily, we only get one or two showing up alive every few weeks, but where there is on, there are many more. Some of the work orders that we have submitted have been fixed, only to be broken again the next day as if nothing was ever done. We’ve also had to call the police for noise complaints (loud music all evening and into the early hours of the morning…4am). The walls are also just pretty thin…we can always hear the crying baby in the apartment below us. Probably somewhat typical for what you’ll get in this price range for the area.
On the plus side, these apartments are close to a lot of good shopping and dining places. They also seem to be in a good part of town; we feel safe here.
