    Had a bad encounter at Solana Lakewood. Mistakenly parked in the senior visitor lot, and a resident immediately threatened to call the cops without letting me explain I was visiting a friend. Signage needs improvement to avoid confusion!!

    I was looking for a place to live where I could retain my independance and I found it at Solana Lakewood. Having amenities on site is a real bonus, I've gotten a haircut, gone to church in the theatre, visited the parcel drop box every day, watched some news in the Game Room, had breakfast in the Great Room and l plan to quilt in the Craft Room. Attending a social event without having to drive or find a ride is great. If you are bored here it would be your own fault. The apartments are well ...
    designed with lots of storage and when I ask how long people have lived here I am getting responses anywhere form 2 months to almost 5 years. A very unique place and I look forward to being one of those long timers.

    Avenida/Solana has been my home for over 5 years. I’m comfortable and happy here. I feel safe. I do not take advantage of the Monday, Wednesday, Friday breakfast, however I especially enjoy visiting with my neighbors at the Pancake and French Toast Fridays twice a month.

    This is an ideal place for me. I felt isolated In my home as my friends all had stopped driving so couldn’t meet me for lunch, theatre, coffee, etc. Here there. Is always someone or something to enjoy. It is a happy active community. My apartment has everything I need. I especially love the large bathroom and closet. It is very freeing to not have to deal with broken appliances, yard and general upkeep of a house.

    The first 2 years that I lived here I was highly recommended this place as a great place for a reasonable price. This last year with so much management changes and reductions in staff has created a lot of unhappy residents including myself. The new investment owners seem to want a bigger profit by decreasing personnel and increasing prices that are 3 to 4 times the cost of living expenses that many of us soon will soon not be able to afford to live here.
