Not worth your time

Worst place I have ever lived. Had to deal with roaches the entire time. Flooding twice do to bad repairs by plumbers. Water outage due to not knowing how to test their main water pressure, but they did have portapoties to use. Entering your apartment without notice. Again worst apartment ever.

Do not rent from here

This place is a joke. They demand top dollar but it’s only one step up from the rainbow village down the street. It is not safe at all. There are people walking around all hours of the night, car break-ins apartment break-ins, the laundry room is not locked and homeless people stay in there. The pool is not supervised. They let anyone come in from out of the complex without any consequences. The police haven’t called numerous of times and they don’t do anything. The “new” office staff are all ...
rude since the last manager left. Don’t rent from here.

Headline should say something alone. The property has improved quite a bit since then. Yes, the buildings and landscaping are dated, but improvements are being made. Apartment size, if you're not a hoarder or enjoy Florida furniture living, these are spacious enough. There has been an increase in family's which is nice. Pet owner attitudes have greatly improved. There's no question about location. Visit the property and do your homework. Cheers!

Poo everywhere

Dog poo everywhere. Nasty dirty disgusting dog poop is everywhere. Dog owners even have the nerve to put it in the FREE green bags and then throw the dog crap in the bushes or on the ground. Nasty.

Bugs everywhere
August 17, 2020
These buildings are infested with roaches, spiders and termites. You pay 5$ a month for pest control and no one ever comes out. It's horrible. Black mold coming from the air vents. We are leaving when our lease is up. We had roofers about 3 weeks ago redo our roof and while doing so we got brown water spots on our ceiling And a crack down the middle of our ceiling in our living room, we had maintenance come out and tell us they would have their drywall guys come out and fix it. Dry wall people ...
came and said they'd have to come back because it was an all day job, ended up having the roofers come back instead a few days later walked in with a spray can and later said it'd take 5 minutes to do our ceiling... minding you there's a crack down the middle of it. Fortunately I had my fiancé talk to them so they'd fix it properly because we have an almost 2 year old running around here and we don't want our ceiling caving in on her. After complaining about them not fixing it they stick putty on the crack spray paint the water spots and call it a day. This place is a dump would not recommend. Could go on and on about everything bad here but you get the picture.

Pretty bad

Place is falling apart, super outdated. Some tenants are junkies and cops coming looking for them. They don’t do too much of a screening who they rent it to. They keep raising the rent And the stuff in the office is super rude and not helpful. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Keep looking.

Not too bad

I lived here a few years ago and didn't have that many problems Maintenance eventually did their job Management was impersonal and didn't get involved with getting to know the residents A bit overpriced for the amenities and facilities you get. Not highly recommended in my opinion. The grounds were in need of repairs. Nice pool. Close to an awesome recreational facility. Not a bad location. Quiet neighborhood. Only 1 small laundry room. The other had burned down. Minutes from Indian rocks beach. ...
Dark exterior lighting. Plenty of parking. Not a bad place to live but could be improved.

Don't.

Dog poop everywhere. Rude people in the rental office. Not enough screening done to weed out problem tenants. Old. Termites. Homeless camp here and leave litter (beer bottles, cigarette butts, shopping carts, etc.) everywhere Your rent will keep going up.

I love living at Somerset Apartments. It's a great location (two miles from IRB), my neighbors are great and the leasing office employees are very nice. Anytime I have a service request or am in need of anything, they are quick to respond. The maintenance guys are very nice...always professional. What I spend each month for rent is reasonable (but who wouldn't like it to be less). The improvements they continue to work on are only making this community better and better!

I'm very content here at Somerset Apts. Upon sending a service request if needed the repair is done within 24 hrs on most events. The staff is VERY PLESANT & KIND & I plan on renewing my lease again in June 2018 for another year. Thank you to all the staff here.
