Luxury Living in Historic Downtown Portsmouth!
November 29, 2017Current Resident of SKA and Previous Resident of The Quarters at Park View -- I am Military new to Portsmouth and was driving down the street in Park View looking for a place to call home for me, my wife, and my dog, when the owner of both properties stopped me and showed me The Quarters at Park View. Being a first-time renter, I was overwhelmed by the options in the area. What I knew for sure was that I wanted upgraded features, convenience, and great customer service! The Quarters at Park View ...and STERLING KING APARTMENTS offer just that! We enjoyed The Quarters at Park View's Carriage home for 2 years, then moved into Sterling King Apartments and have been here for a year and we wouldn’t live anywhere else! The location is to die for - being so close to high st, both tunnels, and the ferry to Norfolk – it doesn’t get much better than that! Both maintenance and office staff maintain the property beautifully. You can tell their priority is to help their residents and as long as you communicate with them, things will be taken care of in a timely/professional manner. My experience has been nothing short of professional and pleasant. As long as I am stationed in Norfolk, VA I will be living at one of their luxury properties! But don’t take my word for it, go check out the property yourself! You won’t regret it!Property Manager Responded

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
August 29, 2017Please read my ordeal. The leasing manager, PAM, lied straight to my wife's and mother-in-law's face about where we would be living. She told us we would be living in the same building as the leasing office knowing full well that the building has been full for the longest time. When confronted with this lie, Pam, giggles and doesn't respond. She then takes my wife and my mother in law to the actual apartment she is going to rent us and it is in ANOTHER building. Pam also said that the apartment ...has never been lived in. LIES, LIES, LIES......there is still stubble in the sink, poop in the toilet, and scratches on the hardwood from the previous tenants. This company tries to bait and switch people. Please stay away from Sterling King. The same people that run this place also run the Quarters so please don't fall prey to them. They are incompetent. This story does have a happy ending. We got our deposit back AND our application fee. Next time I'm going to call WAVY news.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Shady Business!!
August 20, 2017Upon move out they charged $820 in damages for dusty blinds, unpolished bathroom fixtures, grimey bath tubs, dust bunnies in the corners, dust on top of the cabinets, and no carpet cleaning receipt given upon move-out (nothing in lease starting it's a requirement). Granted they ended up zeroing out the account but that was only after threats of small claims courts and a BBB review! They owed us $368 dollars in overpaid rent. Absolutely amazing!
May 7, 2017Current Resident Tonya A. -These are beautiful spacious apts, in walking distance of tons of eateries, pubs, shops, the children museums, the library, the Portsmouth Amphitheater, Roger Browns Restaurant, the Ferry to Norfolk plus more. If like living in the downtown historical area, I would recommend these apts. The staff & maintenance employees are beyond friendly, courteous, and extremely professional.
