INFESTATIONS AND NOISE COMPLAINTS
August 17, 2022I have lived here three years now and it has just gotten worse every year. Get ready for at least one infestation. For most it is giant roaches, luckily I have only seen a few giant roaches. For me it was thousands on thousands of fire ants. I am still healing from all the fire ant bites I got. It took management days to even get to the issue before running out of ant killer and leaving. I ended up just ordering the best ant killer I could find and I still have ants crawling around to date. The ...pool has many loud and sketchy characters. I am constantly hearing screaming coming from the pool late into the night. Do not move here for the pool. The pool has tons of teenagers and families that I do not think even live in the complex. There is constant noise complaints from the pool and management does nothing about it. Easily the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at...
March 24, 2022I had the misfortune of starting out the pandemic at this complex. In the 5 months that I was stuck there, I found out that the apartment was infested with German roaches (which showed up on day 2 and was never remedied despite near daily requests), had my car broken into (to which I was told there was nothing that they could do, despite having a camera pointed directly at my vehicle) and had my car towed for parking in front of my own building (during what was essentially a hurricane). Terrible Management and Fees
November 16, 2021Have lived here for years, and until the new owners/management took over only had the usual renter issues (we expect to have some issues renting after all). That being said, as other tenants have pointed out, they charge fees for everything and at best have spotty service/responses. They recently decided that the parking policy was insufficient, and that if you left your car parked for 3 days, it is subject to tow even after I mentioned the parking clause in the lease (See attached email ...response). They routinely don't respond to emails and voicemails when you have an issue. Want you to come to the office every time you or they need something from you without regard for your schedule. Most importantly though when you make a valid and reasonable request, they ignore you, send condescending email responses or leave rude voicemails, and imply an issue you have with their failure to communicate is not their fault. Further, while AMP is the official property management group, good luck getting ahold of them, their phone goes to voicemail, and they don't respond to email request forms or voicemails. Amazing Service
October 28, 2019Been here two months and can only say good things. Management has responded to every question and concern promptly, maintenance keeps the grounds clean and have been very helpful. You can tell that things are being taken care of. Much better than the other apartments I visited when looking, where I was barely able to get someone to take me on a tour. From leasing, to management, to maintenance, I am so happy to feel like I made a good choice on my new home!Property Manager Responded

Computers don’t work again.

Maintenance ROCKS! (and the rest is great too...)
September 12, 2018I've only lived here a couple of months, but I can say that the experience has been awesome so far. I want to call out especially the maintenance team, they are always quick to respond and (this is the important part) WILL KEEP COMING OUT UNTIL THE ISSUE IS FIXED. We had a fridge that was getting way too cold up top and way too warm on the bottom. They came out 3 times, and each time we all thought it was fixed, but it would start acting up again. Ultimately (yesterday), they figured "well, ...this can't be fixed, so here's a new fridge", and installed a new refrigerator. You may think that this is just common sense and an example of people simply doing their jobs, but judging from my past experiences at other apartments, this came as a most welcome surprise. Every time they came out they were punctual, friendly, and absolutely dedicated to doing a good job and fixing the issue. Again, this shouldn't be a big deal, but it really is. Will and his crew are just awesome. So all this to say is that I love living here and the maintenance crew (and also the office staff) is among the best I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. James on South First - a pleasant surprise!
July 11, 2017Legacy at Southpark (James on South First) is an amazing property! I moved in back in May under Roscoe and have had an amazing experience since day one. The second I walked in to my first floor apartment, I was blown away at the quality of the appliances and amenities. 12 foot Cathedral ceilings with very nice quiet fans, beautiful granite counters, wood floors throughout, and stainless steel appliances! The wrap around porch is very spacious and has extra storage with key entry... Everything in ...mint condition. The AC is cool and evenly distributed with a low power bill! The bathroom is gorgeous and features a huge hotel like tub. This place is so nice! As far as amenities... the infinity pool has gas grills, soon a fridge, and plenty of space! The gym is awesome, the business center is available 24/7, and there is coffee everyday in the community center! I have to say that the best part of living here are the staff: Dacia and Gracie are absolute angels who are always available when I need them, especially after moving in. The maintenance staff is ON POINT! They are polite, prompt, and always know exactly what they are doing. I love living here and look forward to many years ahead. Never come here. Not worth your time
June 30, 2017We found these apartments driving around the south park area. I thought they were going to be nice from the inside out from how they looked. But i was wrong, the lady in the front office was so rude to me and my daughter when asking general questions about monthly charges, month terms and parking because my daughter goes to school during the day and works during the night. daica the leasing person was didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered by the question we had. Extremely unfair and unhelpful property management - would not recommend living here
June 28, 2017I have lived at this complex for around 10 months now. Keep in mind that the property management has changed around 2-3 times since I've lived here, if that shows you anything. There is absolutely not enough parking or enough space for all the residents that they have living here. They have YET to implement a parking pass for the residents and have parking on a first-come, first-serve basis. Many times, residents that actually pay for rent and pay to live here are left with no parking spots. ...There are no parking spots in the front of the complex, near the leasing office, none near any of the buildings. However, they still offer paid parking and paid cover parking. Obviously, as a resident, I should not have to pay for parking if there are guests that are taking up all the parking spots. This is unfair to the residents that live here. This is ABSOLUTELY the property's responsibility to ensure that all residents that have been offered parking, have available parking. Why has it taken so long for the property to implement a parking pass system? I have no idea. The residents are the ones suffering and it seems like no one really is trying to actively make changes. There was a meeting in regards to the parking situation in October. It is now going to be July, and there are no changes taking place. I am very disappointed at the lack of concern and respect for residents. It seems that some residents's concerns are listened to more than others. Wonder why. Would not recommend this property. Most of the time, the leasing agents are not knowledgeable and do not know the information that you are asking for. Inexperienced.Property Manager Responded

Okay if you don't have friends
June 27, 2017New policy is that visitors can only park outside the gate. There are about 8 spots outside the gate and they are usually full. So that means you can't have fiends over. I never would have resigned the lease had I known. There are a few other things that bothered us but this one has sent me over the edge.Property Manager Responded

Loving Legacy
May 10, 2017I love Legacy at Southpark! All of the new changes and updates are amazing! Parking has been an issue and I feel like they are finally getting it right and hearing concerns. They are building a new dog park, updating the gym to brand new equipment, adding all new pool furniture, adding package lockers, etc. I also love they they love pets. Everytime I come in the office, they take the time to say hello to my dog and have treats setting out for him. I only wish I had one of the apts that will be ...getting a yard added on. Don't let them fool you
January 5, 2017Don't let "free months" fool you here. If they have to give something away for free, you know theres a catch. Been here 8 long nightmarish months. The property has been sold twice since ive been here, if that tells you anything. This complex is visually appealing, but do not expect the same courtesy you get when you sign your lease after you move in. The staff is very unconcerned with anything that doesn't get them a commission check. Staff plays loud music by the pool DAILY. Even in winter ...months. Several residents continually complain on the portal to no avail. They are deceitful about how much you owe. Have them write down your entire monthly fees, and I promise you you'll be hit with charges they didn't reference, and say "well your lease says..."
