August 5, 2025I had the absolute pleasure of calling The Laurent home for over two years, and honestly, I can’t say enough good things. These were two of the craziest years of my life, and the staff here made every single twist and turn so much easier. From the wonderful property managers to the always-friendly front desk crew, everyone was flexible, understanding, and truly cared about the residents. The living conditions? Top notch. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and updated regularly. The amenities ...were an awesome! The pool was my happy place, the lake house was perfect for relaxing or hanging out with friends, and the gym was always in great shape. They take pride in keeping everything looking and feeling fresh, and it shows. Special shout-out to Edward from maintenance! This man is a Rockstar. Every time something needed fixing, he was quick, efficient, and incredibly kind. Honestly, all the staff were fast-acting, helpful, and genuinely a joy to interact with. And the location? You can’t beat it. Best spot in Myrtle Beach, hands down. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home from day one, with a team that has your back, I would recommend The Laurent to absolutely anyone and everyone I know. Awful!
March 31, 2023This place is not luxury living. It is poorly managed and office staff never help resolve any issues. It is rundown, gnats in many apartments,dirty hallways,dog poop all over, robberies and assaults in parking lot. They would not install cameras. They are letting anyone in to lease it’s disgraceful. This was a beautiful place last year when I leased an apartment. But it is clearly not that anymore. They raised the rent on some tenants almost 400.00 / month. I did not feel safe and was not going ...to live under these conditions. Many many tenants moved.Property Manager Responded

Over priced and not reliable
April 26, 2022After living at the Lively for two years it came time for me to move out. I will say I have never had a worse experience moving out of any apartment before! They told us one thing and did the opposite. They even sent me a letter offering and payment plan for the remainder of my balance, and they won’t honor it! There are much better apartments that I am sure are more honorable than the Lively at Carolina Forest. I would not recommend this complex.Review from Apartments.com
Honest Overall Review
July 30, 2019Moved to Myrtle Beach on short notice and after searching diligently decided to reside at Lively at the Carolina Forest. The process was a little difficult being that everything was done online with minimal involvement of on site team but I was satisfied with the Apartment amenities and luxury feel overall. My only complaint would be that the apartment walls are very thin. Literally can almost hear neighbors conversations through the walls. Overall I enjoyed my time at Lively at Carolina Forest ...until new Easlan Management took over in the middle of my lease term of 12 months. Did not really feel like the new management did anything to gain the trust of current residents and did not try to involve the community as the previous management did. Fast forward to the end of my lease, the Lease Agreement contract is a little deceptive. One section says the 60 day notice is required as Intent of moving out "Even if you come to the end of your lease contract" but just few sections underneath that it says the "Minimum" requirement is at least 30 days. I was in the middle of transitioning to new position for my job and received word of official transfer 45 days prior and immediately put Notice to Vacate (45 days). All in all after moving out and speaking with both Lively at Carolina Forest and Eslan Management they retained over half of my security deposit of 1k and did not even attempt to try and look into situation. Be careful, apartments are very nice but did not receive good experience with the transition of new team and the end of my fulfilled Lease Agreement.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Awesome Staff, Maintenance and Grounds
March 22, 2019We moved into The Lively at Carolina Forest with certain expectations of fine apartment living. The staff, maintenance, and the grounds have surpassed any expectation we had. The entire staff is so friendly and attentive to all the residents as if we are family. I greatly appreciate the warm feeling you get just being on property. I would recommend anyone looking for a great place, great location with lots of awesome amenities to look no further than The Lively at Carolina Forest. How and why is it showing up a 5 star community?
December 15, 2018There is a perfect review already on this site. The only difference between the lengthy complaint about the property a couple of months ago and now is that most of the staff has been replaced by a new wave of people that don't care at all about the functions of their job. The pet situation is a mess, the dog attacks are real and frequent enough to be a concern, there are cracks in the walls and foundation, cigarette butts and dog poop everywhere, and this is just the surface. They have an ...aggressive outward prospecting strategy including outright lying about amenities and rent. Over-priced and over-rated!
May 15, 2018This complex is supposedly pet-friendly and has breed restrictions. Restricted breeds such as Pit Bulls can be seen everywhere. The management has been made aware of several dog attacks and politely sweeps them under the rug without enforcing any rules. The people who suffer are the residents who obey the rules. There are fees and additional costs added onto everything and many of the amenities are just lies posted to lure customers. By the time your rent is due, you will pay far more than ...what you thought you signed up for. You are! As far as taking care of their residents, the front office staff seems more concerned about make-up, diets and appearance than helping their residents. Everything they do is merely for show and they take lots of pics to prove it. They function at a sixth grade level and handle problems by slamming their doors and avoiding you. The property is only a year old and already has two to four pending lawsuits for safety. Avoid the headaches and find a decent property not built by Meridian. Take a careful look around and you will notice the poor construction, cracks in walls and shortcuts. Don't waste your time with this pit!!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
