September 22, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comDue to our age, my wife and I decided to downsize from our previous 4 bedroom 4200 sq ft house and move to Thornwood. I will admit going from 4200 sg ft to 1198 sq ft was not an easy task, especially since we have been married 51 years! You can collect a lot of stuff in 51 years! Once you get pass the initial pain of decluttering, we found it very freeing to be rid of all that stuff! We love all the amenities here at Thornwood and the lack of burdens involved in maintaining a large home, ...large yard and constant repair issues. The maintenance department guys here are so helpful and solve every issue immediately. Since we had never lived in an apartment, we initially move here thinking Thornwood would be a temporary stop gap move. We’re now in our fourth year here and just renewed our annual lease for year number five.
