July 29, 2025The assistant manager does not do her job and will make excuses about being busy when you will walk in and she is playing on her phone. Also when you walk in she will give you an ugly look and ignore you for at least 5 min until she rudely addresses you. Service requests do not get done until almost a month later because she will not print out the sheets to give to maintenance. We have had many leaks, appliances broken, and roaches everywhere and it takes almost a month each time. You can talk to ...maintenance and they have no clue about the issues because she does not do her job. Do not move there.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

June 24, 2020Stay Away from this place!! There was just a Shooting here on June 18th. Thats not the only thing that has happened here. Ive lived here for a few years and it hasn't been the same since its been bought by Mosaic Residential. Good luck getting anything properly fixed. Also they charge for door trash pick up, good luck getting that picked up if you live on the second floor. Also the water bill here changes every month. Loving where I hang my hat!
September 24, 2015I have been at The Verandas for 2 years now and I LOVE it there. My apartment is a large one bedroom with everything a person needs. Management has been great and quite personable. This summer they even brought out Popsicles and other refreshments to everyone at the pool on the weekends! Nice landscaping too. Very respectable neighbors too.Review from Apartments.com

August 8, 2015I rent a 2-bed/2-bath apartment here at Veranda Apartments in Texas City. It's just over 1,000 square feet, and I (as a single man with a dog) use most of the space. It is spacious enough for me, and the closets are large enough for more than one person. The management team is very polite, professional, and personable. The other residents don't bother me at all (plus, inside my apartment is incredibly quiet, as well), and the people around here are always polite. The pet policy is ABSOLUTELY ...UNBEATABLE in the area, and the community is gated -- pets won't go far if they get loose. The apartment complex sits far enough away from the busiest nearby roads to eliminate any harsh traffic noise; the complex backs up to patches of woods, train tracks that are literally (and I mean "literally") NEVER used, and open fields beyond that. It's nice to look at and so quiet back there. I take my dog to run out there sometimes. There are a few open areas in the ground to walk and play in, as well as a very nice pool area. The cons of it are that it's still an apartment with no elevators. The mailboxes are small, so any large boxes or packages sent to your house will go to the office first. The front office doesn't accept cash or credit cards as payment, only checks and money orders (there is a Western Union within walking distance for those). The balconies aren't large and open, but are big enough for a couple of chairs and a small table; you also have a storage closet outside, which is quite handy. The kitchen is open, but the appliances are kind of smaller than one might like them to be. If you want to live in an overly-loud, over-crowded place where no one knows who you are and everyone is non-talkative and/or impolite -- don't choose these apartments. If you like quiet, familiar, and cozy -- pick the Veranda Apartments in Texas City. Also, if you're going to come here, get the upgraded unit. July 24, 2015I've lived in the Veranda apartments for almost a year. The grounds are well kept, its very quiet. Never had any real problems but when something did come up maintenance was very quick to fix it ! overall a great place to live and maybe raise a family.Review from Apartments.com
