1-Star Review! Long-Term Tenant Forced Out After 10 years

After living at Woodscape Apartments (4200 N Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73112) for a full decade, recent management decisions have forced us to move when our lease comes up for renewal at the end of May.
For several MONTHS we dealt with no workable hot water, which made everyday life extremely difficult. When it was time to discuss renewal terms, management flat-out refused to negotiate anything at all.
The management became not only useless, but down right hostile to any query I made about ...
the status of the hot water, or other issues, and only worked toward getting the issue resolved when I called code enforcement. The issue persisted for months before I finally had no choice but to do so out of frustration. Now that we are moving out at the end of our term they also refused to accept our notice to vacate stating that breaking our lease will result in extra fees. Our lease ends in may and we are leaving in may, but they refuse to even discuss the terms.
Ten years of being a reliable tenant apparently counted for nothing. Between the ongoing maintenance failures and the complete lack of flexibility on lease renewals, we had no choice but to leave. If you’re thinking about renting here, I strongly recommend looking at other complexes instead! These issues are not worth the frustration on top of the premium rates they are charging.

horrible office staff they will never answer the phone, maintenance is a joke there have been broken stair like to get to your second or third story apartment that have been broken for months, police here all time of night, neighbors have gotten bad too there are people arguing outside and dog owners leave poop everywhere, the concrete smells like dog pee!! don’t move here!!!!

Reasonable rent for an upscale apt. Lived there about 4 years ago, though. Maintenance was the best, manager was great. Neighbors are the same everywhere. Some good. I could not think of a better apartment in OKC. This would have been 5 stars, but when we left, their checklist was not accurate and we deserved more from our deposit.

This used to be a nice place but since the new management took over it has went down fast. No security, smell weed and smoke throughout the units. This place is looking like the slums. Pools are trashed, trash everywhere and no one cares. My apt was due to be upgraded before new management took over, currently have a rusted sink and tub is starting to rust but the rent keeps going up, been here 5+ years but will now have to move, I no longer feel safe here. Management doesn’t care at all.

I rented the apartment in February 2023 I live there for a whole year and through that time I had multiple problems with my apartment I had leaks and repairs were slow when I moved out the first part of February of this year the ceiling in my bathroom over my shower is still not fixed. Water is constantly being shut off and every time you ask about repairs, they would give you some lame excuse. Now that I’ve moved down. Even though when you call it says they are managed by Case and Associates don't be fooled, a new company bought them April 2023. They have no emergency maintenance and almost no maintenance staff. A/C has been out for over a week and they can not tell me when the unit is going to be fixed. Been one maintenance issue after another since then taking over. The property is beautiful but it's all those little things you don't think about until there is an issue that is horrible.

good for putting tow truck stickers on your car if they feel like your car is abandoned. I’ve lived here about 2 1/2 years and within that timeframe, Ive moved into a different complex. I was in a 1BD 1BA on the third floor, it was a struggle to get up and down the steps. maintenance never seem to go up there when I needed them.
When I moved into the other apartment complex which is now on the second floor also 1BD 1BA w/ sunroom. (Which is literally the balcony with carpet, it gets so hot in that room and remind you I’m not facing the sun there is no insulation in there) I have encountered problems with maintenance, randomly coming in and out of my house, without notifying me whatsoever and things have been moved around and or token, I did not put in a work order, Never got notified, and when I mention this situation too the office all they told me to do is to go to the website and put in a complaint. (I put that in months ago I never got a response) Like what in the world. YOUR PEOPLE IS COMING INTO MY HOME WHEN IM NOT THERE.

After living here for 2 months, my wife and I came home to discover that the maintenance men were plugging in their equipment into our patio electrical outlet. Management wasn't helpful. They said if there was a large disparity in our electricity bill, we could bring it to them and they would find a way to handle it. Lived there more than a year. Very unsafe to walk in area due to uneven ground and stumps from cut down trees. They do not keep the dog area picked up and it smells terrible, not to mention how bad it looks. But then the residents allow their pets to poop even out of the pet area.
