You come home exhausted and not wanting to clean up the day to day clutter. The weather is great, so get outside and enjoy Zoo Atlanta. In March 1889 Zoo Atlanta got its start when a circus went bankrupt on its way to Marietta, Ga. The public was in "ah" of the exotic animals, so businessman George Valentine Gress purchased them. He donated the animals to the City of Atlanta soon after. This Atlanta attraction is conveniently located in Grant Park southeast of downtown Atlanta.
