When people think of Dallas, it's easy just to write it off as a sports town, but when you dig deeper, it's easy to find the cultural core lurking with the city. Every day folks from Dallas apartments can be found roaming through museums, making their way to concerts, catching the night's big play, or making their way to one of the most popular cultural hot spots, the Bath House. Though it has changed its face numerous times over the years, it has recently become one of the best spots in town to catch the work by new, emerging artists, and to catch exciting work from some of the best independent theaters in town. The Bath House started out when it opened its doors in 1930 as, understandably, a bath house. In the eighties, the city bought it, and began using it as a space for artists and theater companies to show off their work, and has sense become one of the cultural capitals of the city.
