Children of all ages love the Kansas City Toy and Miniature Museum. There is so much to see and do you can spend a whole day and not experience it all. This delightful museum boasts the largest collection of small scale toys and classic toys in the entire mid west.Watch the chronological timeline of kids toys through out the centuries. It is amazing and totally interesting to see the changes and improvements to toys like dollhouses and dolls, trains, cars and boats. The miniatures are amazing life like replicas of actual items made in 1/10 scale or smaller. Each tiny replica takes you to far away lands and far away times without ever leaving the museum. The tours are self guided so you can enjoy each trip through at your own pace. If something is truley magically to you- dont be rushed through to stay with the group. Your able to stop and see the tiny miracle that is a working toy replica. The museum is comfortably situated in the middle of great shopping and dining venues and close to apartments and other urban family dwellings. Its a close ride for locals but worth the time and travel to visitors. For a really unique experience visit the Toy & Miniature Museum of Kansas City.
