A La Jolla Shores apartment lifestyle is a jewel of living in San Diego. Just being able to walk with your friends to this wide expanse of beach from your La Jolla Shores apartments is a dream in itself. The quiet community of La Jolla, just to the west of San Diego, makes living in an apartment a great reason to be in California. While the waves on this beach are gentle on this wide one mile expanse of sand, rip currents can catch one by surprise. Many scuba classes are held for residents of San Diego apartments and can be seen along the shore. But you don't have to be a scuba diver to enjoy this super beach. You can invite your friends from their San Diego apartments to come join you as you lounge in the sun, catch a wave with a surfboard, or picnic and have a barbeque on the grassy park area behind the beach. This area is Kellogg Park, and is just behind the main lifeguard station and serves as a great place to enjoy a meal if you don't want to cook in your La Jolla Shores apartment. Lifeguards are on duty typically 9 am to dusk each day to watch residents of San Diego apartments play in the sun. Separate areas are designated for surfing and swimming, so be sure to check before you jump on your board. Thankfully, at this beach public restrooms are available, near the main lifeguard tower. Another benefit of this park is the 350 space parking lot. It's a good idea to carpool with your San Diego apartment buddies, but if you all live in the neighborhood with La Jolla Shores apartments, you can probably ride your bike or walk.
