There is no food more purely American, or more widely loved, than the hamburger, and one place in Las Vegas is serving them up better than anywhere else in the country, so apartment-ites seeking a little something different than all the usual fast food fare should step up and try one of the succulent sandwiches served up by the Burger Bar is the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Though the food and feel is strictly casual, the surroundings are strictly class, with shining marble, candlelight and dark woods usually relegated to more upscale joints. Don't let the settings fool you, for burger lovers there�??s no better place in town to grab a big juicy slab and meat and cheese, cooked just the way you like it. At the Burger Bar, you're not just stuck with your usual beef, cheese bun and veggies. Here you can get your burger made with several different meets, from turkey, to veggie, to buffalo, to lamb, to Black Angus beef, even Kobe beef, and you can top it with such upscale items as zucchini, grilled lobster and foie gras. For those still wanting the burger they've grown to love, they still have the usual fixins, such as bacon, cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions, and they're all stacked on their warm, home-made buns. For dessert you can try one of their Sweet Burgers, including burgers made with donuts and chocolate ganache, cheese cake, or peanut butter mousse. To finish it all off, try one of their many beers on tap, or one of their hand-crafted micro-brews. All the fast food places and chain restaurants can stand aside for the true king of burgers.
