In the style of traditional american cuisine, Engine Co. No. 28 boasts an extensive menu that will satisfy any aparment-ite that dares to challenge. Remodeled from on old fire station, Engine Co. No. 28 still maintains its original exterior brick facade and two large window bays. Above these windows you will find three terra cotta cartouches that resemble firemen's tools along with the City of Los Angeles' seal. Topping it all off above the original third story is a 14-foot parapet sandwiched between twin towers. The interior houses the original brick flooring and 18-foot tin ceilings, so it gives your dining experience quite a "taste" of history. Along with keeping the historical appearance, the food is also delicately flavored to resemble the classic grills of old San Francisco and New York. As you scower the menu, you find all your favorites from chicken fried steak, to chicken pot pie, to grilled fresh calf's liver. All you steak lovers will not be disappointed because there are several choices of the most delicate cuts of beef you can find. Not matter what your taste, you can find something delicious and satisfying that will keep you coming back again and again. Whether you're a lover of architecture or delicious foods, you can't go wrong with Engine Co. No. 28. Its authentic appearance makes you wonder if an alarm will sound any second and a crew of men will fly down a pole, but the only danger in this restaurant is devouring so much delicious food that you just might pop.
