Wonderful Place to Call Home

Silver Oaks Court was my home for nearly 4 years, and I'd still be there if I hadn't decided to take advantage of the great housing market. I had a one bedroom apartment that I fell in love with for it's large (for an apartment) kitchen and spacious rooms. There was plenty of closet storage, as well as a locked storage area outside of the apartment. The no pets policy was a blessing since I have allergies. The grounds and buildings are very well kept, and the managers respond quickly when ...

issues are reported. The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is very safe with groceries, parks, and libraries nearby. I was able to walk to the bus stop to work downtown, and its perfectly located for quick access to 694, 35W, or Central. Check it out, you'll find your home!

My wife & I have lived here for nearly 10 years. On sight management works very hard to keep the property well maintained. The area is quiet and the apartments are located very close to parks, grocery store, convenience stores and restaurants.

I have lived at Silver Oaks for almost 8 years. The buildings and outside property are very well kept and clean. Quiet area and quiet neighbors. The property manager and maintenance are very nice and respond quickly to any requests. Highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a quiet place to rent.

I have enjoyed the quiet and clean apartment building for almost 9 years. No street noise, no loud neighbors. I work long hours and the quiet nature of the building. The cub grocery store is great to have so close. There is no downside to living here. Jim

Silver Oaks Court is my home for several reasons. The interior & exterior environments are clean & cared for. Management responds in a timely manner to requests. Children playing. And respectful neighbors. Plus each winter snow & Ice removal has been terrific - very important this Feb.

Out of all of the landlords and property managers that I've had, Silver Oaks had the friendliest and most responsive. This made the difference in our experience living there. The property is well kept, and the quality of their work reflects people who care. The property managers are like the neighbors you wish you lived next door to. I always felt great coming home to a quiet complex where I could leave my window and patio door open on a nice summer day, and a cozy apartment that never was ...

The top 10 best things I think about when I lived at Silver Oaks: 1) Great price 2) Quiet location 3) Great landlord 4) Fast Maintenance 5) Fast snow removal 6) Easy access to 696 7) Across the street from a grocery store 8) Lots of trees 9) On-site laundry that is very reasonable 10) Plenty of lot parking I lived in 5 different other apartments over the last 12 years that I have lived in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and I have to say Silver Oaks was my favorite. We only left Silver Oaks when we purchased our home, otherwise we would still be living there.

The complex is clean and well maintained. The apartment that I had was spacious with updated flooring and appliances. Very quiet. If I ever move back to town they would be my first choice to check if there were any openings.

Great place to call home!

I have lived here almost 6 months and it has been great so far. The property is very well maintained and the buildings themselves are also well maintained. Upon move in, we received a long list of rules/expectations. Personally, I like the rules as they are for the benefit of everyone else around you (no rude, annoying neighbors here!). Overall, the building is very quiet and residents are pleasant. Pros include maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner, easy parking, storage unit ...

(included in rent), clean laundry facilities. Plus, grocery store (Cub Foods) and gas station right across the street is a great convince. The only downfalls so far are that there are only 4 washers and 4 dryers per building so I find myself waiting a lot of the time to do laundry. Not horrible though as now I try to go at odd times to avoid waiting. Another minor thing is that the water temperature in the shower can be a little temperamental at times... going from freezing cold to really hot very quickly. Also, not horrible and not all the time. A nice place and a good value. I highly recommend living here!

We've had a great experience with Silver Oaks so far (just over one year now). The grounds are very well maintained, and the apartments and common areas are clean. You're only a couple minutes from 35W and 694, so getting around is easy. There's a gas station and a Cub Foods right across the street, so errands are quick. The general neighborhood is in good shape, and we haven't had any safety concerns. Just before we moved in, they replaced all of the carpet, linoleum, and kitchen appliances, in ...

addition to the standard painting. This made the room feel almost brand new. Maybe we got lucky, and it was all due to be replaced, but we're happy with it either way. On the couple occasions we've needed a light bulb replaced or a drain unclogged, the maintenance has been quick and helpful. Same goes with the landlord. There's always empty parking spaces, (even if you end up having to park a little further from your building), and several are shaded. Laundry is coin-operated, which I'm not a huge fan of, but it's also better than having to refill proprietary cards. The laundry rooms are also surprisingly clean and bright, and I've rarely had an issue with all the machines being in use when I wanted to use them. You also get a locked storage closet for free. The storage area in our building is on the 1st floor, which I assume is true for all of the buildings, but I'm not sure. Other residents I've interacted with have been friendly, but the overall community is pretty quiet. We had one relatively noisy neighbor, but they recently left. This is only the fourth apartment complex I've lived in, but it's been the best by a pretty wide margin.
