This apartment might seem cheap and everything comes with a price. The staff is not helpful at all and they don't care about anything you have faced. They never come up with an explanation for a broke in at my unit. The heater/AC system is so old that it did not work most of the time. Before we all move in, they promise us to give us some specific things thru email however, due to that staff was on a maternity leave, they dont take any responsibility on what their other staffs said. There is once ...
our heater was broken down on a Saturday, they do not even bother to call the on-call maintenance and told us to wait till Monday even it was 100F outside and open the window did not work at all. The after hour line was not helpful at all as it is managed by a third party that is off-site and unwilling to connect to the on-site staff .

Fine place but hidden fees and poor staff

When my roommate and I first moved in they reassured us that we would get the specific apartment we asked for and sent a confirmation email. They switched us to an entirely different apartment without letting us know only two days before move-in. (Don't live in the back because there in another apartment right across, that's where they moved us). Also I had to sublet my apartment and went in three times to confirm I payed everything and then they hit me with a hidden fee weeks after I moved out. ...
The maintenance never gets to you and comes in without your notice. Honestly, you can find a better place to live and should find a better place to live.

Their staff don't care or give any reasonable explanation even if they lost your package. Just this week, they lost two of my package and they don't give me any reasonable explanation. The staff only have stupid explanations such as "there might be resident who live there many years ago that has same name".

Living in a place away from home needs to feel like another home. This place comes pretty close to that feeling. Can be loud at times with thin walls, celing and the taffic outside can be annoying with all the beeping and sirens going off. The place is reasonably priced and includes everything. It's super nice that all the furniture is provided so you don't have to go out and buy it. As well the dryer & washer is provided in the apartment room, don't have to take your laudary somewhere.

They were some what helpful. But when I first moved in, they didnt re clean after the person before me moved out, so I had black hair all over my room when I had blonde hair at the time. It was in minneapolis so they had some crime as well and almost stole my bike, which I think they should invest in some cameras atleast outside. Overall it was nice and close to the university, only about a 10 minute walk.

University Commons is a great place for University of Minnesota students to feel at home while they attend school in Gainesville. The staff is awesome with exceptional service and great event planning. The complex is well kept with a extensive and clean fitness center. The apartments have great kitchens and the administration is always making improvements to make sure the residents are pleased!
