justify. As a punishment, the mgmt company decided to not cash my checks until I followed up (several times) to get them to see they had a signed lease. Onsite property mgmt is a joke; I have no idea why there is one since she doesn't do anything. Forget getting your packages - that'll take several delivery attempts. Takes multiple service requests to get a single maintenance issue taken care of. The building itself is run down and often has a sour smell. Recycling is always overflowing. My 650 sq ft apartment has one window with exposure and a view of the side of the neighboring house's siding. You can hear the constant slamming of the outer doors, tenants tromping up/downstairs at all hours, and every move the upstairs/across hallway neighbor makes. Garbage is picked up between 4 and 5 AM, including Saturday, with noise levels rivaling that of jet engines. Did I mention all of this for the bargain price of $3100/mo? Doors to both the building and the outside gate are propped wide open, all day, with no one around to monitor them. All the time. I've had the hot water go out 4 times, the toilet back up (I was told that was my responsibility to fix and would be charged for an emergency plumber), and my outside internet/phone line cut. The management company is rude, unapologetic, and will take every opportunity to tell you that you're bound by a lease for the full term (so too bad for your problems, is the insinuation). Take it from me, save yourself the regret and a small fortune - pass up this property and keep looking.
