Ok location, poor management, poor building quality
May 26, 2026Lived here for 1 year. The neighborhood is fantastic but specifically this location is unpleasant because of heavy, loud traffic on Florida Ave at all times and also the building is directly across from the Hilton hotel loading dock which has semi trucks constantly idling all up and down the street. The management from day 1 did not address issues we had with the apartment: - awful insulation and noise control from the windows - mice - lots of small things missing, like closet shelves, appliance ...pieces, etc. The building generally had issues: - A/C and heat did not properly distribute thru the unit so we had to get wall A/C units even though the apartment has central air - the layout itself of the unit was frustrating, one super long and wide hallway with tiny bedrooms and two tiny closets, so almost no storage - we regularly had postings on the door of the building which stated: the building next door was calling the police on us for some other tenants being loud and disturbing the peace until late at night, our building magement did not pay the utility bill so the utility provider gave an ultimatum where our entire building's utility would be shut off - my bike was stolen from inside the building Rent was reasonable but not a great dealRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nice location, but horrible management
May 15, 2021Location was great, especially for the price, but I would recommend looking at a different building due to the landlord. The unit where I resided had mice and when we notified the landlord where the hole was, nothing ever got done. We still had two months left on our lease and even though we continued to ask him to shut the hole, he never fixed it. We had many issues throughout our stay and the majority took a month or so to get resolved. The neighbors that were moving out warned us about this, ...but we didn’t think much of it until later in the lease. Renter Beware - Very Sketchy Management
December 10, 2019Location is great, but think twice before moving in here. The landlords use manipulative tactics and lie frequently. They have very little understanding of what unit maintenance is required to meet DCRA standards to the point where I genuinely worry about health and safety. Utilities frequently don't work, and one time we didn't have heat for weeks in the winter.
