Uncleaness
August 2, 2016The only problem I have had is with unclean bedding, in which I alerted housekeeping about the second day,I let the manager know about previous person medication stuffed in a tissue box with used tissue, he sent housekeeping up and I showed her the medicine and the tissue box her reply I don't check tissue boxes, I showed her the stain pillows she said I can wash that out and bring it back. Tuesday my son got really sick and I took him to the er,he has some type of bacterial virus, they gave him ...a treatment for his lungs,steroids in iv, iv fluid,and a ekg due to his heart rate, he was coughing up blood, high fever,and weak,,they took good care of him. And this early morning I get up I can't sleep turn the above light on and that's when I noticed old soiled stains on the mattress pad through out the bed that was covered over with a sheet, soil pillow cases on one side, I called the front desk to express my concerns, night security tells me housekeeping is good on cleaning and he can't see this happening, and why I'm just noticing, this is a stressor I don't need I'm walking back forth to see my ill spouse,I'm not here for vacation.I took pictures and showed him, he tells me I have to let the manger know. Good location but management was very rude and unhelpfull
July 21, 2015The two stars are for location alone. Great spot right next to the hospitals and Michigan ave. For some this can be a problem in the summer because of all the tourists around. Also there are many taxis. And with the hospitals you have to get used to the ambulances and helicopters coming in late at night. The unit itself was not terrible but it could use a lot of work that they will probably never fix. The layout of the studio had a separate kitchen which was a plus but there was some ...discoloring to the tile and appliances. The living space had big gaps around outlets (bad if you have kids) and the carpet was coming up. The bathroom was probably the best part of the unit with a heat lamp above. My view wasn't terrible but was looking at another building so others could see in at night. A major problem of the unit was the fire alarm kept falling off the wall but they only told me to keep sticking it back on instead of just buying a new one. Asking management about rental contract is a lost cause. I had to look everything up myself because they kept feeding me false information until I proved them wrong. The door men are always nice but the manager who sits at the front desk is always rude to me and I've overheard him giving attitude to others as well. Lightbulbs in the hallways took forever to be replaced even when requested. The other tenants are mostly eastern Asian and are very quiet which is nice. Otherwise the walls are fairly thin and you can hear everything others are doing.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
