Locationand history keep me hanging on.
August 1, 2015I have lived in this apartment for nearly 48 years. It is a set of four flats on a corner. We have 3 bedrooms and a split shower room and toilet room. I grew up in this neighborhood and have raised my kids in this neighborhood. The Noe Valley area of San Francisco has seen many changes over the years but those of us who have stuck it out and rolled with it are glad for the experiences and friendships we have made here. Yes, housing prices have soared in recent years, just like the rest of San ...Francisco and I am thankful for rent control every day. My family could not afford to live in this neighborhood without rent control. Many have had to leave to the suburbs to be able to afford to raise a family. For now, we are hanging in and trying to ride out the storm of monied gentrification. I keep the memories of my childhood alive with stories and pictures that I bore my kids with. This has always been a great neighborhood and despite a slight increase in B and E's over the years is relatively safe.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
