  • Worst experience ever

    So many extra monthly fees that were not disclosed. So many danger issues with neighbors that management did nothing about. So many safety concerns, way overpriced, small rooms. Also would not mail our security deposit back to us when we moved. We had to go to physically pick it up.

  • DO NOT RENT HERE

    Renting here was a mess. There was so many plumbing issues happening in the building. Mangement knows what the issue is and wont fix the issue.

  • Unprofessional Staff

    I scheduled a tour a week in advance and came in from out of town and when I showed up for my scheduled tour time they made me wait almost 30 minutes and then the leasing agent went out to lunch while I was waiting. The security guard told us they had no record of our reservation even though we showed him one. Nobody from the leasing office could come out and even speak to us. The security guard told us after waiting for 30 minutes that no walk ins appointments were available and we had to leave. ...

  • Sewer water overflow apartments

    August 6, 2023
    Terrible place to live. If you are planning to move anywhere between the 10th and 12th floor - the sinks in your apartment will overflow with dirty water due to the way pipes bend. Management will address temporarily when there is an overflow but no real fix. They will eventually ghost you if you reach out multiple times. Until the day we moved out, our apartment had dried dirty water in kitchen cabinets with dead flies and insects. If you have kids and pets, its definitely inconvenient trying to ...
    find a place to stay in the middle of the night due to smell and toxins in your own apartment. 55 is cheaper than most places for certain reasons. Do yourself and your family a favor and do not move here.

    Every apartment complex/building has its issues but at the core of this one is a competent, attentive, concerned and genuinely effective leasing office and maintenance staff. This building has a team willing to tackle issues like they are their own, they really care.

    If you are a women living alone, do not live here. There is frequent car breaks in, and the building is easily accessed by many people in downtown Orlando that are not residents. Units can often be found on Airbnb allowing non-residents access to building to throw parties.

    Always answers any questions I need! The security makes everything feel safe! The fact that the staff remembers your face, and what room number you stay in makes you feel like your at home and recognized ! Area is nice! Im not used to being able to walk everywhere and I love that! Overall I love staying here !

    55 West is in the best location - right off of Orange Ave, so extremely close to the I-4 E and W bound exits, 408, as well as Colonial (SR 50), so any commute should be a breeze to get both to and from work! If you work at home, you may actually like the sound of the train passing by softly and light bustle of the area around the building. I find it soothing and easier to concentrate! I love the floor to ceiling windows, concrete ceilings, and well maintained exteriors!!! I moved in a few weeks ...
