Great community better apartment

It's been positive. I've enjoyed the amenities available to us as residents, and the new management has been helpful when we've had questions or concerns. Change is hard but I believe the new management has the community's best interest at heart. I recently transferred to a renovated one bedroom and I am really pleased. It has that new feeling.

Money hungry management

The new management is money hungry. Life was great before the anson came to the Chelsea. They charge $50 for having too much trash when before it used to be only a note on the door and your trash is left behind. You are already paying $30 a month for valet trash. Wants to charge me for a hole in carpet when they are going to rip the carpet out of my apartment to put down tiles.

don’t even bother

I signed a lease here and then my circumstances changed where I no longer wished to take the apartment. This is before I received keys or paid rent. I tried to revoke my signature on the lease and the property would not let me. I was told I’d have to pay to get out of the lease. Mind you I have not received keys or paid rent. (When I talk to other properties and companies they tell me you have til the move in date to revoke your signature. My move in date isn’t til tomorrow and they won’t let me ...
out of the lease. This company operates in a way that is not flexible for real people with real things going on. When I asked for corporate’s information I was told no. I’ll just let the lawyers handle it, I guess.

The apartments are good but everything else seems to be lacking. Laundry room is usually gross and not maintained well as in standing water on the floor of a curious color and half the dryers are not in operating order but not posted as such. The fitness center and front pool are not open because of construction which does not seem like has a sense of urgency. This place is decent to rent because the actual apartment is nice but does not deliver on any of the ammenties that is advertised.

If you are planning to rent here the expextions of those picture are false. They have carpet all thoughout the appartment(you will be lucky if they cleaned it), noisey neighbors up and downstairs, different maintenance every couple of months, and there tends to be people around the builds doing not so legal activities.

Horrible management
January 25, 2018
Horrible management, they will take your application fees and never call you back. They have no consideration for people’s lives. Called me and told me I was approved and will receive welcome email the next day. Put in our 30 day notice, and my fiancé finalized his transfer at work because we are supposed to move in two weeks. Never received letter so called them for them to tell me we are no longer approved. Who does that to people?

My husband and I moved to Raleigh, NC from a small town in Pennsylvania in February of 2015. We had to find a place quickly and chose The Trestles, which is right next to I-40 and I-540. Being next to the highway makes for easier travel. The grounds and common areas are kept clean for the most part, sometimes the trash gets crazy and there is stuff all over the place in the parking lot. I wouldn't recommend having any packages delivered to your apartment if you aren't planning on being home ...
because, sadly, someone stole a package from us once and tried to steal a second one, but thankfully we were home. I would also not recommend leaving items on your porch if you don't have one of the enclosed ones. I had my bike stolen right off our porch in the middle of the day and we live on the third floor. Service calls are answered fairly quickly, usually within 24 hours. The pool is always cloudy, not sure why, so we haven't used it, but the apartments were just bought by a new company and they are really trying to change the place for the better, so that may change. Size wise, for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, we pay less than $800/month and that includes the pet fee. We have a large closet and a vaulted ceiling in the bedroom with a bay window. The living room also has a wood burning fire place, which is awesome in the winter. The kitchen is fairly small, but you do have a small area off to the side for the dining table and everything. Overall, we feel like we have a nice place for the price, we just have to be careful with our belongings.
