I’ll be honest…

I have lived here for 3 years now, so here’s an honest list of pros and cons from my point of view.
Here are some pros. I really like the office and maintenance staff- they can be really busy but typically timely in corresponding. I like that the apartments are private entry and also single story buildings. It makes me feel more like I’m living in a condo than apartment because of the privacy. I like the abundance of parking spaces and the fact that there’s typically one close to your door at ...
any given time. I like the attention to pets the property pays, though I think the pet deposit should be refundable. I like the the floor plan and layout of the units. I live alone so it feels like a good amount of space for me, and it covers pretty much everything I need. I really like my neighbors. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves and I haven’t met any rude or problematic people.
Here are some cons. I don’t like how outdated the interior of the apartments are. Given, the property has been working really hard on upgrading the units when they can. I think if they can manage the upgrades without raising rent too much, it would change my rating to 5 stars. I don’t like how the exterior of the units look. They remind me of a run down Pangea, but again, management has been taking care of that and doing a great job of keeping upgrades to the community coming. I don’t like that in the winter, going down the main stretch to the road can be dangerous, because black ice can happen and there’s not much space for error with how wide the road is compared to parked cars. A little salt goes a long way though, so that’s just a pet peeve for me. I don’t like that the property has no pool. I don’t think they ever will have one because there’s not much room to put one in, but it would add that extra amenity a lot of people want. I’ll be honest, I didn’t care for the office staff much until the most recent staff started. Shannon has done a good job at balancing a very needing property, because the last staff was hard to reach and didn’t do much to help anyone, so a lot of people had a lot of problems when she started. The maintenance man Q is the best. I personally have had no problems with management as of recent, but my dissatisfaction previously weighed a lot on my rating.
Overall, I would give the property 4/5, pending 5/5 if they gave special attention to details and were able to spruce the property up a little more to balance out rent fluctuations.

Black mold and rotting flooring everywhere

The entire complex is covered in black mold, I even had to bring in the health department and its still not fixed. The floors are rotting out and roofs have leaks while the gutters hangs off the buildings. Mice will try to claw their way out of the holes drilled out for all the plumbing. A resident died in his unit last year and they moved someone in 10 days later without telling him of the previous owners death. Then blamed the smell of the neighbor and her cats. You car will either get ...
vandalized or the property manger will just tow it. We've had a shooting this year as well. Do not move here
