    So I moved here in September thinking that I would be in a upgraded community then the Camden in laurel, I was definitely wrong I have a lady who lives over top of me that allows her child to ride a scooter, run and jump up til three in the morning asked the rental office to do something please since September. All was told to record the noise which I did they did nothing to call a officer that works with them he told them they still did nothing they asked me to basically knock on her door which ...
    went wrong and I had to call the police and still nothing has been done. The staff is nice but they do not do there job far as a leasing office for a over priced community with no upgrades but take your money each month but do not try to resolve any issues. Also been waiting on the regional to call me since September whom I’ve left messages for since September that right there should tell you what kind of place this is. Which is definitely not somewhere you can be comfortable or call your home

    My fiance and I visited this property and were quite impressed with not only the clean, quiet community, but the amazing customer service we received. We visited the property twice, and each time Syrena greeted us with the biggest smile. She was extremely knowledgeable, and stayed in touch with us over months.     I have lived at Camden for almost three years, and I’m continuously impressed with the staff, the community, and the value of the apartments. I just came from a resident event last night, and although I didn’t win at trivia night, I had a great time. I love living here!

  • You could do better.

    Pros: -The apartments are clean and nice -When I have made maintenance requests, they have been resolved within 24 hours -It is close to the school and a grocery store -Parking garage instead of a parking lot -I could have my cat with me -In apartment washer and dryer Cons -Everything breaks down. A lot. I need to get my AC/Heating fixed for the third time, and I've only lived here for three months. Plus my dryer barely works. I have to do continuously wiggle it around while turning the button ...
    and eventually it starts. I made a maintenance request for it and they came and claimed they fixed it but it still happens. -There is constantly dog poop in the hallways. At least once a week I see dog poop on my way to the garage because other people are trashy and can't pick up after their pets. -The garage gates are constantly breaking so security is pretty slim. -Many people's packages get stolen from their front door after delivery, but mine don't even get brought into the building. I have had a few packages come, and every time I get a notice from the mailman that no one could let them in and I have to go pick it up from the post office. -I continuously smell weed in the hallways, garage, and even the mailroom. I do not do drugs, and it is very uncomfortable and annoying when I walk my parents to my apartment, and all they notice is the reeking smell of pot. NUMBER 1 ISSUE:- Noise complaints are a joke. There is someone who lives near me who screams and laughs her head off every night from midnight to 4 am. It is so loud that it wakes me up and makes it impossible to go back to sleep. I have fallen asleep in my classes and at work as a result of this. When I contacted the front desk about this, they gave me a different number to call after hours because the office closes at 6. The lady who answered that number told me that she does not handle noise complaints and told me to call 911 instead. A police officer said to me that I could be arrest for misuse of calling 911 if I call for that in my building. After this whole experience, I asked other residents what they do about the same issue, and some of them said they had to buy earplugs. I find it ridiculous that I have to pay my own money for something because someone else can't be respectful. Nevertheless, I bought some. They never came. I'm waiting for the day I fall asleep behind the wheel from sleep deprivation. Just hope you get lucky with who lives around you.

    Never would I suggest anyone to live at Camden College Park MD apartments. Gotta love a response finally regarding our broken AC Unit after only reaching out 5 times since 12:30pm. If your ever looking for a place to lease, Do Not Consider Camden College Park MD for multiple reasons of crime(theft mostly), lack of access to FedEx or UPS delivery, forced services even if you don’t utilize them like Valet Trash or Mandated Comcast/Xfinity which is billed to you even if you can take your own ...

  • Was Great at the Beginning...Now...Not So Much

    If you know anyone who is looking for a place to live in College Park, DO NOT send them here. We can’t wait for our lease to end so we can get the heck out of this place. Fellow residents are aggressive, rude, and have no consideration for others. If you LIKE having paint knocked off of your vehicle, being aggressively tailgated into a secure parking garage, being verbally attacked by strangers, and being “helped” by complacent staff members, this is your place.     Pros: - Free shuttle to Greenbelt metro station during the week - 2 free parking spaces - Online community where you can learn about what's going on in the complex and more - Laundry and dishwasher in unit - Internet and TV included in rent as the tech package ($95) - Spacious and great amenities Cons: - Electric hit $150 max for us during the summer months - Water is shared so there is not much the individual can do to keep it at a normal level, ranges from $30 to $50 per occupant - Noise ...
    level is average, people blast music and you can hear everything your neighbor does in the bathroom - $30 a month for trash valet, we didn't really use the service because we were near the trash chute and can do it ourselves - Police could't get into the building twice when needed, once when there was a shooting and once for cars that were vandalized. Apparently this has been solved. - Location is not great

  • Overpriced_Not SO-Friendly Staff

    Definitely not worth the money. Packages left at the door are 99.9 percent guaranteed they will be stolen. Forget about people visiting you...this place is not visitor friendly. Watch out for all the hidden fees. The valet trash fee is a rip-off, you can't opt out of it. The Technology package is another rip-off. There are apartment complexes way better than this for much lower rent.

Camden changed their package policy back in 2015 as a more convenient service for its residents nationwide. Here at Camden College Park, in the instances where packages were missing, we are either able to assist our residents in locating them or it is an issue that is taken care of with the carrier. Valet Waste and our Technology package fees are mentioned to each and every prospect as well as resident prior to the time of application. Even though, they are not optional it is most certainly an amenity that saves our residents time and money.   • I wouldn't if i was you....

    I would steer clear of Camden College Park! I have had nothing but issues with them from the time i first moved in to my Unit. We moved in and the first month we experienced several fire alarms going off sometimes twice in the same night. When after 3 months of the fire alarm going off at least once a week i called in to complaint and was told that there was nothing they could do for me that it was due to a short. This is a company that claims to deliver "excellence at every point of contact". I ...
    left this issue alone after a while and after 6 months the issue resolved. Due to a another unit falling threw at the last minute at another complex, we renewed our lease and moved to a smaller unit. While at this unit there was some overturn in staff and then crime became an issue between the two buildings there were several units broken into and the first murder of the new year was in the 9630 building "Controlled access" Garage. Crime continued to be an issue until I left. Camden's portal to pay is also flawed. I attempted to pay on the 2nd of the month and when the 4th rolled around and the money had not been taken from my account i called the office and was assured that if i paid it then it may just take a few days to clear my account. On the 6th i got an email stating that i had not paid rent and that now i had late fees on top of having to pay rent, they charged me for insufficient funds which i had all the money for rent, and got slapped with a 100 dollars in late fees and other fees. They would not wave them despite my attempting to follow up with the leasing office. 4 weeks before I was scheduled to move out and into another Camden complex in a different city. I started having issues with my A/C and called in and the first time someone came to fix it that night and was very accommodating. The issue was not completely fixed though cause the issue came back in like 2-3 days. I called in as soon as i noticed the issue when i got home. They informed me that this was not an emergency and they refused to send someone over to look at it. I called the office and explained that this was an issue as i do not like having people enter my unit when i am not home especially with increased crime in the area. The issue never got proper follow up and now that i have moved i have requested follow up with the leasing office about my security deposit for the past 2 weeks.
