15 Month Review

There are some pros/cons living here. I've been here almost 15 months, and am going to be moving out. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I've lived at nicer apartments in The Heights and paid the same amount.
Pro-
*Living here was close to work for me
*Pretty quiet at night/throughout the day
*Nice pool
*Neighbors stick to themselves for the most part (Pro/con)
*I like the size of the apartments- really big coat closet and bedroom closet
*Big porch/storage on the porch
*Maintenance fixes ...
things really quick
*Isn't hard to find parking
*Close to Trader Joes, HEB
Cons-
*No dog park
*Dog poop everywhere- I pick up after my dog, but no one else seems to.
*Neighbors below me smoke weed 24/7.
*Many many many stray cats on the property. I see food in the bushes too, so the cats come back. I complained about this and was told that the cats are viewed as "rodent control," which now makes me think that there is a rodent problem. I see at least three (different) cats a day.
*The AC only slightly works. I don't think it can actually get below 74.
*GIANT cockroaches find their way into your apartment because it's an older building. I've had them come spray multiple times, and I am OCD clean.
*My dishwasher has broken multiple times, doesn't dry with heat.
*The washer and dryer are extremely loud- they shake the floor
*You have to get the technology package- extra $100 on top of rent, plus pay the trash fee
*Gym machine has been broken for months, and the tv's have never worked on the equipment
*You have to pay for a parking sticker when you move in
*Many community events are emailed to you the day of, too last minute
