Unreachable and uncooperative staff, the management is terrible when it comes to issues... Avoid it!
September 5, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comThe apartments may seem to be a wow factor when you first see them, but don't be fooled. I've only been here for a few weeks and I'm already so frustrated. Starting with the application they delayed it so much that we didn't know if we were approved until just 2 days before the move-in date. They stopped answering my phone calls when I called to check up on my application and get my questions answered. They claim to be short-staffed, which I would understand if they were still getting back to the ...residents in one way or another. There is no sign of answering phone calls or emails. The only way to ever reach them is to physically go into the office at the time and if you're lucky you just might find them. They are rarely ever in the office when you need them and take forever to reply to any maintenance issues. At this point, they are just giving false information that they cannot keep up with because it seems like they don't know what they're doing. It hasn't even been a month since i've moved in and I have no idea how in going to handle the rest of the lease term here. I'm beyond frustrated with how they handle things and wouldn't recommend anyone living here. Save your time, money, and energy and avoid this place if possible!Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

construction, unreachable staff, cockroaches everywhere
October 19, 2020 - Review from Apartments.comI would advise anyone to stay away from this complex. When we moved in it was clear that the unit had not been properly cleaned, hair and dust was everywhere. We moved in just before they started building a new tower of units (directly next to our unit) and we were not asked to sign any waivers regarding this- while those who moved in after us were asked to do so even though they had already began advertising that they would be building. Our whole time living here construction began at at least ...6am, and much earlier sometimes, there was no dust control and the sound was unbearable. During a time when many folks are working from home, this is especially problematic. In addition to this, the laundry room is regularly broken into and used as a bathroom for local homeless people. The washing and drying units do not work at least half the time. The company they use for landscaping would regularly just blow all the leaves and twigs from walkways and the roofs into the first floor patios, which fell and broke things on our patio multiple times. The air conditioning regularly goes out, and trying to get ahold of maintenance is incredibly challenging. We went over a week without a working shower/tub because of their inability to communicate with eachother. The staff is rude and never answered their phones. Upon trying to move, they did not confirm our rental history with our new complex until we had emailed and called them at least 5 times.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in
May 8, 2020 - Review from Apartments.comThis place is awful. Office staff is ridiculously rude as soon as you sign a lease. There are cockroaches everywhere, including the laundry room. Heater & AC is always out for the building. I was changing in my apartment, the maintenance guy unlocked my door and helped himself into my apartment. When he realized I was there, he said he had the wrong place. I have had multiple shady men follow me into the elevator and try to come to my room. The front doors are always propped open. We have very effective pest treatments available to our residents if they inform us of an issue. Since our building is 55 years old, it does work on a boiler and chiller system that involves changing over as the seasons change. Our maintenance team always knocks loudly to announce their presence. We sincerely apologize that someone entered your home and that you didn't hear their knocking, there was some confusion and our associate was under the impression the home was vacant. We do prop doors open when our residents are moving in and out and we monitor closely when this occurs. If there is anything we can do to improve your experience in the time you have left, please let us know.

It was as though one were coming home to a luxury hotel after coming home from a work day at the Capital. Which I must add was short pleasant hop, skip, and a jump away. October 24, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comCT is an awesome place to live in the heart of Downtown. Living here for the second time it’s still a great experience from getting an apartment to living here. The pool/spa area combined with the gym is upscale compared to other places. Walking distance to K street and the Golden 1 Center as well as the ability to get to midtown quickly is to die for. If you don’t want to drive you can jump on light rail and get around or get to Amtrak directly. All in all, by far, one of the best places ...to live in Sacramento.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

Was once a great place to live
August 21, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comIt is a shame because when I first moved to CT it had a great community, friendly and helpful staff, and was a fairly safe place to live. But I don't feel the same anymore. The rent is expensive for such old apartments (plus $40 a month in pet rent?!?). The villas have a big transient and burglary problem and the new security company has no visible presence. One set of neighbors moved after their patio was invaded. And there now seems to be a high rate of turnover. The towers have only 2 small ...elevators that are slow and often broken or being used by movers. Parking is outrageous $140 a month or you fight for parking on the streets. The lease terms are punitive. Read the lease carefully. Be wary when you take a tour - they show off a lot of amenities that are not in the lease. If they change their minds there is no guarantee that it will be available in the future. For a number of years, residents got free training at the basement gym HITT classes, Spartan boot camps, and Olympic lifting classes. But the new company has been unwilling to renew the contract or make improvements to the basement. And I just got news that the new owners have terminated the gym agreement :( The office staff is in largely unhelpful the new owners have been uncommunicative. It is a bad sign when a new company cannot keep or hire enough staff. They also recently fired the main manager .. so maybe it will get better or maybe it is just a sign of things to come.Read More

August 11, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comI recently moved into Capitol Towers and I have to say that I am very happy with my new apartment. The apartment is very spacious and well-maintained. The amenities are fantastic, especially the pool and the free fitness classes. The management has been very helpful and quick to answer any of my questions or requests. This is the perfect building if you want to live in the surprisingly quiet downtown neighborhood of Sacramento.
