Granville Apartments

their quality of work is exemplary. And we are very lucky to have them here at Granville. The apartments are spacious, and I love having a garage and an in-unit washer/dryer. The tenants here are really nice, and there is a good sense of community here. Overall, this is a really nice apartment complex, and I would definitely continue staying here for some time.

Granville is the apartment manager, Julie. She is super responsible and responsive. She is always in her office during office hours and never disappears during those hours. I have had really bad experiences with managers in other apartment complexes in Merced, but Julie is different, very professional and always respectful. Another great thing about Granville is the maintenance. Whenever we contacted them with a problem, they showed up and fixed it pretty quickly. The apartment complex also has garages, so you can make sure that your car is safe (since vehicle break-ins are a known issue in Merced). All in all, it's a great place to live. The only downside is that it is close to the railroad and the train honks loudly. But it is easy to get used to that. It really is a minor issue when compared to all the good things that this apartment offers. I definitely recommend this place.

it'seems 'prohibited,' noone says anything plus it makes no sense considering that there a freaken park less that a block away). So if you're someone who likes peace and quiet don't consider this. Also they'll mention all of the great 'amenities' included, security system & cameras throughout and gated community (just to name some) but in reality we never used the security system so that wasnt beneficial and cameras were never working especially when we needed it to. Our parked cars has been hit twice now, probably by drunken drivers or just idiots who didn't know how to properly park. Went to the property manager and she couldn't pull up the tape because the cameras were 'out' those day. As well sometimes it is very difficult to find a parking at night. The main gate has been malfunctioning few times within the first year that we moved in (making it unresponsive to the clicker as we literally sit there for 5 min attempting to open it because we couldn't use the dial pad since it wasn't responding either). Same thing with the garage part of the cliclerk, which had to be replaced. To top everything off rent has raise. If you want to move out you'll have to provide a (I believe) a 90 days if not 60 days notice to the property management vs other complexes which is usually a 30 days. * especially for a town like Merced, I would avoid these complexes. There are better ones out there, for better price and better area.

the maintenance guy is very friendly, whenever I see him in outside he asks if there's anything that needs maintenance. The apartments are open concept and kitchen has granite countertops. There are big windows which let a lot of light in and make the apartment very bright. Another big plus is the great amount of storage available. The apartment has great amenities such as washer and dryer within; so you do not have to spend hours nor quarters at a laundry mat. Something that has won me over is that the apartment is its low- maintenance . Overall as a student I am very happy to live in Granville apartments because they are a bit luxurious and affordable. My parents also like it because it is so safe.

(and well maintained) pool area features lounging chairs and covered table areas, next to a private indoor gym. The units each feature an alarm system. The central heating and air conditioning are superb; mine will freeze the place or burn it up within minutes! The kitchen and dining area, with beautiful granite countertops and tile flooring, is quite spacious—even in a one-bedroom, one-bath. There is plenty of cabinet space. Each unit includes an overhead microwave, a stacked refrigerator/freezer unit, an electric range and oven, a full-size dishwasher, and an in-sink garbage disposal. The dining area also sports a very stylish chandelier. The carpeted living room looks out of a large sliding glass door to a small patio and a gorgeous view of the other units. The included standing fireplace/mantel insert is very nice, and the room has plenty of space to work with furniture. The bedroom features a walk-in closet with overhead storage space and plenty of hanger space. Both the bedroom and closet have an overhead light. The room even has its own phone outlet, in addition to the one in the kitchen. The laundry room, tile-floored and enclosed by accordion doors, has more overhead storage for things that don’t quite fit elsewhere. Definitely worth mentioning is that every unit has its own washer and dryer! The bathroom, also tiled, has a granite countertop and a small closet. The combination shower/bathtub piece is enclosed by glass doors that include a towel rack, in addition to the wall-mount towel rack and hand-towel holder by the sink. Finally, the garage fits one car and lots of stuff-storage along the perimeters. All of the corridors around the complex have cameras, so no one’s going to be breaking into your garage without it being seen on camera. Overall, I have immensely enjoyed living here in Granville for the past seven-plus years, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the best of the best! You couldn’t ask for more.

right outside the apartment. I currently live in a three bedroom apartment shared by my roommates and I. From the plants and grass being trimmed and kept neat, to the swimming pool area looking like it belongs in a summer housing catalog, everything about this place makes me feel proud that I can live here. The complex is gated and comes with a security guard, as well as 24/7 video surveillance. Each apartment unit consists of it's personal security system, which has its unique code that only you and the manager know. Once you enter the unit you have an area for a dining table, a coat closet, and then the living room which is carpeted, and it also includes a fire place. Then you see the kitchen which consists of a standard electric stove, a fridge, and a dishwasher. The rooms are two singles and a master that is comfortable for 2 people. The first two rooms have standard closets, but the master bedroom has the biggest closet, along with a wall of shelves. The bathroom in the master bedroom has two sinks, a standard bathtub and a toilet, the guest bathroom has the same but does not have the 1 extra sink. Directly outside is the laundry area that has a washer and dryer along with shelves and cabinets for storage. This unit comes with two patios, one attached to the master bedroom, and one that is located outside of the living room. The unit also includes a garage and parking inside the gated complex. Also the unit comes with an AC and heater. After a stressful day of classes, coming home to this paradise is amazing. The Jacuzzi, pool, and gym are located on site which is amazing for a young adult like me. A maintenance man is also always available to take care of any issues that require attention. This is an amazing place to live at especially in a town like Merced that doesn't have much to offer for the prices that are given. Granville apartments are safe, affordable, and definitely very appealing to the eyes.
