Great location, but pricey and corporate

There are a lot of good things about this place. It has a great location right next to many shops. It is a quiet neighborhood. The walls isolate sound well so I don't hear much noise from neighbors. The primary problem with this place is that they have raised my rent by $400 over the last 2 years without any meaningful improvements to the community. Additionally I have been without my balcony for nearly a year since they haven't hired contractors that can finish a fix in a timely manner. This is ...
with an additional rental increase since the start. The office staff is nice, but their hands are held by the investment holders who just see us as income.
Also if you are considering moving here and you choose a top floor apartment, make sure you are ok with a constant loud humming noise. The HVAC tends to cause a humming noise all night in my bedroom. Thankfully my wife and I sleep with fans anyways so it just ends up being part of the white noise.
