Terrible Overbilled me 10x for my utilities one month, called it an "accounting error" when they were questioned and that they would resolve it when they came back for maternity leave. One full year later(now) they have still not done anything about it after repeatedly trying to get ahold of them.

Terrible Maintenance service. Maintenance services are terrible, it takes them atleast 1 months to fix the repairs and still it remains unfixed. We have been requesting to replace the bad lights since 5 months and they haven’t fixed it yet. Our refrigerator, washing machine doesn’t work properly, maintenance people come and just give us hope that they will replace it, but no work after that.

Worst apartments ever It’s december and since we moved in we are STILL living without a drying machine even tho we beg the front office every day to give us one. I read all the bad reviews before living here but decided to ignore them because I needed to live on the closest apartments. DO NOT DO IT. Do NOT ignore all the bad reviews. Seriously.

Everything’s Great The apartment isn’t perfect, but a great upgrade from living in a dorm. I have great luxuries now in my 1 bedroom apartment that I didn’t have before. The kitchen works perfectly, the bed is comfortable, and the showers are hot. Not much else I could ask for

I lived at Northside for 3 years and the experience got worse and worse overtime. The worst of it all was the lack of accountability Northside took when they moved a new resident into our apartment without notifying us. Within 48 hours of moving in, this resident stole our belongings, went into our rooms, ate our food from the kitchen and the list goes on. It is obvious little to no proper background checks are done as Northside only cares about the revenue they receive. Onto the smaller ...
problems… The offices never answer their phone. They never have an answer and will have to “get back to you” and will never actually get back to you. The amenities are poorly maintained. The doors for all the buildings are broken, meaning anyone can access the buildings. They back-charge you for months of utilities whenever they feel like. If you enjoy feeling safe in your home then Northside is not the apartment for you. I recently had someone break into my apartment using a Northside key fob (these control the deadbolt). Had I not fought with Northside for a week prior to get my keyless deadbolt fixed (it came broken on move in) then they would have just walked right into my apartment. I reported the issue and was told that Northside didn’t have the capabilities to change a lock on the weekend if at all and I would have to ...
wait until Monday. So Monday comes and goes with no contact or attempt to fix the lock. No one seems particularly concerned with the issue and I will likely have to have a private locksmith come out after the Texas 72hr landlord reasonable response period has lapsed. Northside doesn’t care about your safety and even if you report something you will have to push rope to get them to do something. My unit came with broken locks and covered fire sprinkler heads! Employees are unsympathetic, anyone the is not full time will just give you wrong info to get you to leave, and the full time people are hit or miss as well with some being the most rude. So don’t live here. You’ll be trapped with a bad lease anyway. Just go anywhere else.

Northside just wants to make money out of students by charging them for things which has nowhere been mentioned in the lease, nor on the website. Be ready for hidden charges- $25 for EACH neatly tied trash bag left OUTSIDE the apartment during of moveout without any prior intimation. They specifically mention charging for trash inside the house but smoothly hide the charges for trash left outside the unit(which is where residents usually keep the trash bags for it to be collected). ...
Ridiculous. The management never gives us a clear answer when we ask them something. Responses to emails are late- usually after 5pm or sometimes they dont even bother to respond to issues! Why reply when you can quietly keep all the deposit money without clarification, right? They think that just having some random resident activities will earn them a good review. Maybe try having more empathy towards students sometimes.. Unclean common areas- corridors, lifts, hidden charges, never getting a solution to our problems on time as they just ask want us to email everything and then reply 3 days later, INFLATED rent prices for an apartment the size of a Walmart toilet (they dont seem to know about prorated rates) and YOU CANT EVEN MOVE OUT IN PEACE! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANY STUDENT- especially not an international student who doesnt have any guarantor here- they will charge you a bomb in the name of deposit. Would recommend living 20 minutes away from the university but not here!!

Office never answers calls. They will charge you over and over, today I had to pay 20$ for 3 days worth of parking im not even joking. The amenities are not well kept and you will spend a ridiculous amount of money to live here for not 1 good reason besides close to campus.

Been trying to get them to replace the broken refrigerator for almost a month at this point with no success. Will not answer emails or return phone calls. Allow trash to build up in hallways after going for a week without pickup. Nice building, terrible management.
