This is a lower quality apartments with walls that were painted white 1000x at this point. bugs rampant, and moderate crime. During covid the car reg. stickers were arriving late in the mail, but the vigilant leasing office has noticed and promptly towed my car even thou they had proof of my online registration renewal in their email. It is a very awkward feeling to get your car towed where you live.

A good place but terrible office staff

The apartment is good but the female staff in leasing office are really terrible, they never listen to what you say but insist their words for the whole time, she said I put some wood into the disposal area which is so ridiculous, I told her what is happening and she keep yelling at me and a strong maintenance staff also helped her to yelling at me and even ask me to leave the office, their voice even higher than mine and they seems they are the boss of this apartment. Scorpion Infestation

The pool and grounds are well kept, but the apartments are terrible. There is a SCORPION infestation! I've found 4 scorpions in my first 3 months living here. I reported it and they agreed that they did have a scorpion situation, but they didn't assure me that they would do anything about it or apologize for not informing us of their problem before we moved here. The apartment itself is not worth the price. My sink leaks and they have not fixed it. We can hear our neighbors all the time and im ...

A Wonderful Place To Live

I have lived in both the 2X2 and the 2X1 floor plan here and I love both of them! The office staff is so nice and they actually care about you. It feels like a community, unlike a lot of apartment complexes around the ASU area. It's a short walk to the light rail which is super convenient, and you can't really hear it, so that's a bonus. staff. When my fiance and I were moving between the 2X2 and the 2X1 I asked to tour the model like 10 times and they were so accommodating and really work to make you feel like you have a home there. They have some choices of wall colors that they can come in and paint that you don't have to paint back when you move, and I have an accent wall in my kitchen that I adore. It's a little pricey in my opinion, but we got ours for free since we have lived here for 3 years. The units themselves seem spacious for what they are, and the cabinet space in the 2X1 is unmatched by anywhere I've seen. The bathrooms lack counter space but that's honestly my biggest complaint about living here! The gym is nice and has everything I need. The pool area is nice to relax in although there was a couple months here recently where it was closed a lot. They also have a dog park at the back of the complex which is basically just a big fenced in field for your dog to run around in, which is well maintained. Overall I really love this place. I am going to be so sad when we have to move, which eventually will happen for our careers. Every place is going to charge you move out fees. That's how apartments make money. I feel safe here, and I feel like I am at home, and that's what matters to me!

Relocated here from 2400 miles away, we reserved an apt online. The pictures online are very close to what you actually get. Fresh but could use some new flooring. With that said, it's a very nice place to live. Apt is roomy and clean, no bugs! Private balcony is nice. Maintenance is very prompt in fixing minor things, he's also friendly and helpful. Bad end exprience

Good: dog park and fitness room Bad: scorpions even after pest control service (14 in apt in 2016), loud neighbors, loud music,ficitious end of contract fees when moving out (carpet cleaning fees and carpet drying fees when i have been told that the apt was ripping out the aging smelly carpet to put in vynel that has a hard wood pattern), damaged appliances (cracked and broken features in both the microwave and refrigerator, old flooring in kitchen and bathroom area, gates in community that ...

ofter times don't work, rusty bathroom sink that wouldn't be replaced after i told them several times, too name a few. The director in the leasing office Bernadette talks sweetly to you and charges ficitious fees on your bill, she is very tricky, will find any chance to charge you, and i would advise you to just stay away frim this place. The only hard working person there is Art the mantience worker. The last month there i heard gunshots early sunday morning. The news reported two people were shot nearby the apartment. You will also see prositutes walking the streets late at night. They advisertise as luxury apartment homes but they are really untruthful. This was my experience it might be different for others but i highly doubt it.

Good location, frustrating experience

We have had one problem after another here. My guy and I are very reasonable, friendly, and hardworking people. We tend to be happy wherever we live, but we have been quite frustrated with Pala Mesa. We have only lived here for a little over 3 months and have had plenty of obstacles. I cannot even count the number of times we have tried to go to the pool to relax on an evening or weekend - only to find the water is absolutely disgusting. It's very frustrating to not be able to use the pool. Once ...

or twice would be understandable, but it has been much more frequent than that for us. We have also had several small problems in our apartment - but small problems over time add up. Our ice machine in our freezer doesn't work. We requested maintenance to fix it, but it still doesn't work. The A/C unit outside of our apartment made a HORRIBLY loud shrieking noise - starting at 10PM until 11PM for over 1 week. We called the office about it and they said they would request the night patrol to check it out. They did nothing to fix it. We wake up at 5:30am everyday so this was quite frustrating. Several days later, our A/C unit went out and our apartment reached 83 degrees. They sent emergency A/C repair over and he did fix the unit. We have had the exterminator come 3 times (once a month) - and yet, we have had 8 scorpions IN our apartment. I went to the office several weeks ago to ask how to stop this problem - as we are Montana natives and have never dealt with scorpions before - and the staff was less than helpful. They had no advice other than to request the exterminator, and when I said we have requested him to come once a month, they said not to request the exterminator too much, as it can actually have the opposite effect desired. Needless to say, finding 8 scorpions in just over 3 months has been pretty frustrating for us. Our upstairs neighbors are very loud. We can hear them walking around their apartment and they stay up late talking and, from what sounds like to us, stomping around their apartment. The list goes on and on. We chose to live here because of the location. My guy rides the Light Rail into Phoenix everyday so we thought it was perfect, but in hindsight I definitely would have looked into other options.

Nice friendly staff! I always felt welcomed. Nice and very clean complex but the neighbors over the wall are horrible! Lock your car doors! Loud noise and music from them. Never ever had any issues living here. I wish I could move back. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen look up to date. I do recommend this place to my friends and family. Even they miss that place. Lol

My apartment is extremely spacious for the price that I’m paying and it is located relatively close to the Light rail. The apartment wasn’t furnished so I had the opportunity to do some home décor work and really have it fit my vibe. The pet policy here isn’t strict at all another added benefit is how friendly and helpful the maintenance workers are. For the price I can’t argue that this place is pretty nice.
