My security deposit was not returned after I vacated the apartment in the garb of cleaning the used apartment. At the time of signing the lease deed, I was told by the leasing assistant to deposit a heavy security deposit amount of $400 with the promise that this deposit would refunded back after I vacate the apartment. The property managers say that they sent me a cheque which I never received. On intimating this fact to them, they say that if a new cheque is issued by the property ...
manager/property owner, a sum of $35 would be charged for issuing another cheque.
If you come from outside Lawrence, my advice is that: do not trust email communications between yourself and the leasing assistants at Peppertree Apartment in Lawrence. These people play with your trust.

Nice inside and uh not out

My apartment on the Inside is nice with a few dings and nicks but nothing major but on the out side it looks trashy and beat down the hallways out side are retched and always smell of something disgusting something different each day my children aren't allowed to touch the hand rails going up the stairs and the carpet is matted and gross and last but not least the parking lot is always filled with cigarette butts! Yuck!

The place is very inexpensive however, the carpet is permanently stained in strange places, the water pressure is a little week, everything is cheaply built and either falling apart or about to. The layout is convenient, though the kitchen can really only have one person in it at a time. And it's a 15 minute bike from campus. However, the tennis court is completely run down and the pool is tiny. The parking is very easy and is right next to my work.
