        Revue I have lived here for six years and the cleanliness of the apartments has decreased overtime. The garbage and recycling area is always overflowing onto the ground and scattered into the surrounding area. This was supposedly addressed by adding garbage service but the garbage service doesn’t show up two to three days out of the week - even after they are contacted. I am assuming that a lot of the garbage is from people who live outside of the complex but nothing has been done to address ...
        this issue. There are rodents in the garbage area. It is a health hazard. It is unsanitary. Parking has gone up by $15 dollars a month. Why? $50 a month for a reserved parking spot is outrageous. The small pool is not cleaned daily during the summer. Last summer we didn’t have a pool skimmer so the residents weren’t able to clean it ourselves when maintenance didn’t. The pool also remains an issue with non residents obtaining access. Management does nothing to enforce their own pool rules about guest access. There are large parties held with an extensive amount of non residents. There is also a large piece of plaster missing out of the bottom of the small pool on the shallow end. Management will clean the front pool, as this is next to the office where the new residents come through, before they will clean the back pool. Outside lighting fixtures were replaced on both the buildings and around the property when this money could have been spent on paint and power washing. The cost to live here continues to increase while the cleanliness is not held to the same standards.

        So happy we chose Murrayhill! We didn’t even want to have to move, but our old place was hiking the rent significantly and weren’t even addressing our maintenance issues that started AT MOVE IN. This property has been incredible since day 1! And that’s not to say we didn’t run into a couple bumps, like our keys weren’t working when we tried to move in, but maintenance came and fixed it immediately and we told them there was no rush as we could get in through the garage still. But Management and ...
        Maintenance took us extremely serious, and wanted to address the issue immediately, which is very impressive for such a large property! The property itself is beautiful and well kept! Grass is always cut, weeds are always pulled, there are dog poo stations almost every 7 feet! The bank we got for our buck with the amount of space we have in our unit, and the attached garage, is just unmatched in this crappy market! We are so happy with our decision. It’s been amazing so far, and we hope to stay here for the next few years! :)

      • Pretty Grounds, Dated Units

        The grounds are beautiful, and my building was fairly quiet. That being said, my unit overlooked Scholls Ferry, which turned out to be a mistake as the street is like a racetrack most of the day and night. Units are dated, with ancient heating systems and no AC. The balcony was clean when I moved in but was never cleaned again in the time I lived there (no way to do it myself). My gutters were full of debris, which resulted in a frozen puddle at my doorstep most of the winter. The seal on my ...
        freezer door didn't work, despite maintenance calls about it, so occasionally it would fall open and everything in the freezer would ruin - fun. The kitchen sinks are so shallow they are nearly useless, and the old glass-top stove is horrible to cook on. People are allowed to let their dogs defecate all over the place, with no penalty for not picking it up. They will mention in the newsletter that you can earn a referral bonus if you recommend someone as a tenant and they wind up renting, but don't believe it. I encouraged my coworker to rent there because they were having a bad time with their current landlord, and they wound up signing a lease. I was in contact with the manager for over a year afterward, trying to claim the referral bonus. I was assured over and over again that "the check is in the mail", but everyone knows how that goes. Even after I moved out, I was being told they would "try" to get the check to me. Naturally, that never happened. In short, Sofi at Murrayhill is a pretty place but units are dated and poorly appointed given the rent amounts.
