Getting Better
March 25, 2025I’ve been here for a couple of years now and with the new management taking over, I have seen BIG improvements. The front desk are ACTUALLY there and helpful and Having a maintenance team come and fix any issue the apartment is having within an acceptable amount of time has GREATLY surpassed the old management where it would take weeks before they confirm someone COULD come take a look.Property Manager Responded

Cozy apartments
March 20, 2025Quick, and easy application process. Staff super friendly. Apartment was very clean. Outside area kept clean as well. Each apt get 2 assigned spaces. The second one is kinda far that’s the only negative. Had 2 minor maintenance issues and they reached out to me and were resolved the same day I put the request in. Don’t move here!!!
July 23, 2023I’ve lived here for 3 years! They have a major mold problem that’s continuing to be swept under the rug! They don’t fix anything! All the ac units leak into other apartments! I’ve had to call the fire department because my entire apartment was filled with smoke! It smelled like an electrical burning! I’ve had water leaking from my light fixtures in my kitchen! Please don’t move here! If you value your health this is NOT the place to be!Property Manager Responded

Mold Issues for Years/ Terrible Response Time
July 8, 2021Property has been know to have many mold cases which weren’t resolved just painted over. There’s no help with maintaining mold issue, just blame placed. Unfortunately I would not recommend to anyone who’s immunocompromised or with young children.Review from Apartments.com

March 31, 2016I have lived in Southgate for 4 years now. Southgate Apartments has the chance to be an actually decent neighborhood. The location is wonderful, very close to the highway and prestigious schools. The apartments are nice, most of the neighbors are nice, the gym facility is sufficient for an apartment complex. However the maintenance and attention to detail is severely flawed, and has been for quite some time. Repeated attempts to encouragement management to do the right thing continue to fall on ...deaf ears, so public shaming might get the job done. I hope. Emergency Maintenance has never responded to a single call (ever). Sometimes the voicemail box is full and you can't even leave a message. There is never an acknowledgement of the fact the call is received. If my dishwasher decides to overflow at 6pm on a Saturday, you will have a waterfall out of your apartment through Monday. There is also a portion of the neighborhood where several street lights are out. Conveniently, a car has been set on fire and another car has been broken into during that time. The dumpster was also set on fire in the same part of the neighborhood (but during the day), and the lid has not been replaced (something the complex has been cited for several times over the past few years).Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 14, 2015My current apt. at 3140 Southgate Drive Rockledge Florida 32955 was a great 2 years. I had a view of the lake and many palm tree's , two pools a dog park and a tennis court. August 15, 2015Southgate apartments is probably the best apartment I have ever lived in. They are neat and always responsive when there is an issue. You can call and someone will always answer the phone. Grass stats cut, pools stay clean and staff is always polite and has an answer whenever you have a question. August 11, 2015We have been living at Southgate apartments for nearly one year and we will be renewing our lease soon. We are very happy with our third floor apt. It has vaulted ceilings which gives it a spacious feel. It is very quiet. The grounds are kept fairly neat. All repairs are done within a reasonable time. The staff is very nice, especially the handyman crew. The rent is reasonable and most of the tenants are working families. The pools are clean and the laundry facility is as well.
