Do not lease at the berkshire!
May 25, 2017I was a tenant at the Berkshire for 2 years and it is a horrible place to live. They are all con artist and thieves. My rent was raised $50.00 when I chose to renew my lease. My unit consisted of 2 adults and 2 children. The water bill was only supposed to be based on the # of adults in the unit and they charged me for 4 adults for 18 months and would not reimburse me. My water bill was always between $150-200 per month. The last 6 months I lived there they start basing the water bill on the unit ...size which is $75 for a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath. I have been gone away from there for 4 months now and they keep giving me the run around on my deposit. I left a hand written notice with my forwarding address when I told them I was not renewing my lease. I was informed that it would take 10 business days to receive it. #1) I called after 2 months had passed and the Excuse was "oh we were missing a digit from your address". How do you miss a # and it was hand written on paper for you? Next I waited another month and still nothing. I call and they don't answer. they took my money
September 15, 20152 months ago my wife and me went overthere triying to get an apartment, we gave them the money order for deposit and application fee and we were accepted but when we tried to get the keys for the apartment someone else was living there and they have no other apartment available for us they told us it was a new administration and the could not help us so they are investigating who has our money because this happend not only to us more people is complaining about the same situation and for us we ...still waiting for our money back.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
New management is horrible
June 1, 2014new management is horrible. Apts are old and smell like old A/C units are always braking down and they are dirty. I ask for them to clean it, its going on 6 months without any response. The apt complex has a third party towing company that will tow any body regardless if they are tenants or not! The towing company stalks people day and night!! They make people feel uncomfortable and scared that their vehicle will get towed at will.
