Worst Apartment Ever

I have lived in multiple apartments in NJ and NY state. This is by far the worst apartment ever. I was charged $1500 for security deposit. After I moved out, the landlord sent me an invoice for $1600 as painting fee. This is a brand new apartment which was freshly painted when i moved in. In one year, there was NO damage to the apartment. I did not even hang pictures on the wall. Because the apartment was dusty when I moved out, the landlord decided to paint the entire apartment and charge me ...
an invoice. The apartment is roughly 1100 sq ft with 2 bedrooms. I have always had other apartments charge a cleaning fee of may be $100 to $150; but NEVER a painting fee of $1600. This landlord will exploit your security deposit charges. PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE!
