No W/D hookup and NOT SMOKE FREE!
March 8, 2022if you think you're getting a good deal on an apartment with washer/dryer hookup, you are wrong. none of the apartments have that. also, this is NOT a smoke-free apartment complex. They allow tenants to smoke INSIDE their apartments, knowing full well that the smoke travels through to the other apartments. If you have asthma, COPD, allergies... I do NOT recommend this place. Also- there is only management on site 8 hours max out of a 40 hour work week, and their "maintenance" crew is two men that ...don't know what they're doing, that will come into your apartment un-announced, and are constantly torn between this and the other property that this management company owns in Euless. The mgmt staff tries to be helpful, they really do, but its truly a case of being stretched too thin. I hesitated to write a review, however when I saw the FALSE advertising ie W/D hookups and smoke-free facilities, I had to speak up. Hopefully this will keep someone else from being misled as I certainly was!!Property Manager Responded

Water bill $50+/month...thats if its on!
April 1, 2021Built in the 1960s. No central heating nor cooling, i.e., they (the property) controls when either is turned-on/off (its a chiller/swamp cooler system...yea, you may have to Google that). You don't pay electric but with water bills $50-$70+ range per month, you can start to guess that you're making up for it! Maintenance is ok...if they have one available. Old amenities. The pool is NEVER open nor cleaned regularly. Plumbing issues are often, so they DO have to shut off the water consistently ...during the day which isn't bad, well, unless you're home. Parking is ok and non-towing, so that's a plus. I like the grounds keeping. The neighbors, well, it was 55yrs+Living but you know what they say about desperate times...other newer/brand new rentals are being built around them, so they may have a harder time attracting "desirable" renters.Property Manager Responded

Older is warmer and feels like a neighbborhood
September 21, 2016I moved in a month ago. Apart from a little snafu with the mailbox and gate key, I have been very happy with my new location. I downsized and feared tiny rooms. I LOVE MY NEW HOME
February 15, 2016Thank you to the Manager, Rhonda at Valley Creek in Hurst. I didn't know such a hidden treasure existed. I am so happy waking up every day in my new home. I can't wait for spring to see these big trees thick with leaves and this courtyard filled with flowers! I didn't know there was an all bills paid apartment still around. I don't have to freeze or swelter in the summer because of the high cost of utilities. Happy Happy Happy. Don't let the age or minimalist outside fool you! If You're a Senior, Then You Are Home
February 2, 2016Thank you Valley Creek! Life has uncertainties as we age. Young "hip" apartments made me feel like everything was about younger residents. Valley Creek is so nice and feels a bit like an undiscovered secret. Maybe I should keep it that way, but I can't help but think other people my age feel like me and I think I am supposed to spread the word. January 29, 2016After decades of house living I dreaded apt living again being shown tiny boxes in newer properties. What a delight to find Valley Creek. I don't imagine ever living anywhere else.
