I lived here for 5 years and initially really loved it. The maintenance team was always kind and helpful when needed. I chose this complex because it had a mature, peaceful ambiance—not overly flashy, just comfortable. Sadly, that atmosphere has significantly declined.
Over the years, the quality of the property and management went downhill. Trees lost to freezes and storms were never replaced, leaving the grounds looking bare. Resident events were often announced last minute (sometimes just ...
hours before), and the office was frequently closed early or hard to reach.
There were known mold issues in my unit that weren’t taken seriously until I pushed for proper remediation. I experienced health problems during that time, which have since improved after moving. Dog breed/size restrictions were also never enforced, even when safety was a concern.
When I finally spoke up—after years of being a quiet, respectful tenant—I was told by Candence, “If you don’t like it, we can look into options for letting you out of your lease.” Her husband David also threatened to remove me from the office simply for expressing frustration. That was the turning point.
To top it off, my deposit was delayed. I followed up kindly several times with no response, then received the check dated exactly 30 days post-move-out—after sending a formal demand.
There are many new apartment options in Georgetown now with updated amenities and better service. Don’t let the name “luxury apartments” fool you—this complex no longer lives up to it.
