Nice units but parking is really tight

We are paying for my daughter to stay here while attending UNR. The unit she lives in is nice however be aware that there is not enough parking for all the tenants. There is very limited offsite parking so you better get working on a parking pass really soon if you are considering this place. 3 stars for the unit and 1 star for parking.

The views of downtown Reno are amazing! The living space it’s very functional and comfortable. Have been to several student living quarters and YOUnion it’s very high on my list. Will definitely recommend to at least give it a try and say high to Mandy and Ian at the office, very helpful.

Not impressed with the apartment at first glance

Loved the model. Love the layout. Love the concept. Not so great in practice, though. We get into the "Silver LEED Certified" building built in 2016, and the place is JUNK! Talk about being built on the cheap. The dishwasher was never installed correctly (not screwed into place because the counter tops were installed incorrectly) so the racks have broken and is falls forward when loading it. Cabinet doors are broken off. The floors are slanted, and the refrigerator can't even BE leveled at this ...
point. 2 of the closet doors have been crashed through and not replaced before move in. All of the blinds are trashed (scheduled to be replaced, but still not replaced before move-in), and the trash removal is NOT included. It's a $10 monthly fee that cannot be waived. We are still trying to figure out the ins and outs of wifi here (use, price, etc.). Nope. Not impressed. I guess it's just another life lesson for my college student son. At least his roommates seem to be really nice.
