Cleaning out your apartment closet is never a fun task, although the accidental nostalgia it unearths can be a pleasant surprise. Old Xmas gifts, that pair of jeans you are still hoping to squeeze into one day, and, best of all, a stack of childhood photo memories. They're all here - pictures of your old dog Sandy, your first bigwheel, and that treehouse you spent so many an afternoon defending from invisible invaders. Only fitting then that local speakeasy the Treehouse Pub should exact the same comfortable feeling of yesteryear. As one would expect from any venue with the name Treehouse, the establishment blends indoor and outdoor dining; on warmer evenings, the outdoor deck crowd sometimes even wraps onto the sidewalk. Conversation and a laidback attitude are the only required components for this Pub, and the eclectic menu somehow manages to combine ethnic flavors that would otherwise seem at odds with one another. Try the jerk-rubbed hen with a peach mimosa, or shoot for the lobster special on Tuesday nights. Animal lovers take special note - true to form, the Treehouse is fine with hosting your furry best friend on the outdoor dining area as well, so even if Sandy is no longer around your new dog Rufus can lounge at your feet, hoping for a taste of that steak fajita.
