Fortunately, the area surrounding Boston has plenty of beautiful places to live, including Beverly, MA. Beverly is one of the major suburbs of Boston. It is located in Essex County and thrives on manufacturing. If you are looking for apartments in Beverly, you have to learn more about the local area. What is the history of Beverly?

Prior to the arrival of European settlers, the area in present-day Beverly was inhabited by a variety of Native American tribes. The first Europeans to arrive in Beverly arrive in 16.6. Eventually, Beverly was incorporated at the end of the 1600s. Beverly played a major role in the American Revolution and was integral in commissioning the very first ship in the United States Navy. After the American Revolution, the city of Beverly thrived on cotton mills. Playing a major role in the industrial revolution, Beverly went on to produce countless pairs of shoes. Now, Beverly is a gorgeous suburb of Boston with great schools and excellent work opportunities.á

How is the weather in Beverly?

The weather in Beverly is similar to the rest of the Boston area. Temperatures can exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer and regularly dip below zero during the winter. Beverly receives a fair bit of snow throughout the year, however, it can be limited by the lake effect from the coast. Beverly is humid because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Anyone who enjoys four distinct seasons will enjoy living in the Beverly area.á

How do I get around town?

If you live in Beverly, you should probably have a car. The vast majority of people in the local area use a car to get around. Even though there are mass transit options and Beverly, it is not quite the same as living in the center of Boston. Therefore, the mass transit options are not as plentiful as they are in the center of the city. There are long-distance trains that are not that far away. If you have to go somewhere else on the Eastern Seaboard, you may be able to take a passenger train. Finally, if you need to get on a plane, Logan Airport is one of the biggest airports in the world. It is located close to the center of Boston and is not that far away. You may be able to take a train to get there as well.

What is the Beverly commute like?

Similar to the rest of Boston, traffic and get heavy during rush hour. There are several major highways that go right through Beverly. One of the busiest is the Yankee division Highway, which skirts the northern edge of the city. Route 127 runs along the coast. Route 1A goes right to the center of Beverly. Highway 62 is another major road in the area. Traffic is very heavy leaving Beverly going into Boston in the morning. Traffic is heavy coming back into Beverly during the evening.á

What are the local media outlets?

Because Beverly is so close to Boston, most of the major media outlets come from Boston as well. The biggest newspapers in Boston and for the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, the Cape Cod Times, and the Patriot Ledger. Some of the biggest radio stations in Boston include WXKS, WJMN, WMJX, WODS, and WBMX. The biggest TV stations in Boston include WBZ, WCVB, and WHDH.á

Why live in Beverly, MA?

Living in Beverly has a lot to offer. For example, you still get to live relatively close to Boston while enjoying a lower cost of living. Furthermore, the traffic in Beverly is not nearly as heavy as it is in Boston. In addition, there are numerous housing opportunities as well, allowing you to tailor your apartments to meet your needs. Finally, the schools in Beverly a great as well, contributing to a great overall living experience.á

What Beverly landmarks should I see?

Beverly is filled with plenty of historical sites. For example, lots of people love to check out the Wenham Museum, which is not that far away. The museum amazing exhibits that rotate regularly, so be sure to check back often. You might also want to take a closer look at the Salem Witch Museum, which pays homage to the witch trial that took place in 1692. This is one of the important historical events that took place in the early New England area. Finally, Bradley Palmer state park is also home to a historic Mansion. This park has plenty of biking and hiking trails as well.á

What is there to do around Beverly?

Beverly has plenty of fun things to do. For example, particularly during the summer, you may want to take a closer look at the CoCo Key Water Park. This is a location that is filled with Cabanas, water slides, and even on-site lodging if you would like to spend the night. This is also a great location to spend time outdoors, particularly at the Mass Audubon Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful location for plenty of wildlife views, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. Finally, be sure to swing by Winter Island, which is a rustic beachfront that has plenty of outdoor aquatic activities as well.

Any annual festivals or Beverly events to know?

If you love festivals, Beverly has plenty of options available! For example, there is a Witch City ParaFest that takes place every year during the summer! There is also a local Strawberry Festival that takes place nearby! Of course, do not miss out on the Christmas parade that takes place annually. There is always something fun going on, so be sure to take a closer look at the local calendar and plan accordingly. Beverly is home to numerous festivals!á

Where are the nearby vacation spots?

Beverly is not that far from a variety of outstanding vacation opportunities. For example, lots of people love to head south to New York City. This is one of the biggest cities in the world and provides an endless array of tourist activities. You might also want to head north, take me to look at everything that Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine have to offer. Particularly during the fall, this is a great location to watch the leaves change colors. This is also not that far from Logan Airport, which provides both national and international flights to just about anywhere in the world.á

Where is the best place to move in Beverly?

If you are someone who loves the coast, then you may want to live near Route 127. That way, you may enjoy a view of the water. If you have to commute into Boston, you may want to live close to one of the mass transit options. That way, you may be able to stay away from heavy traffic.
