Step into the world of revolution at the Revolution Rock Bar and Lounge in the financial district of downtown Boston. This place is hot! The bar has two floors that includes space for impressive rock stars and their bands to play live music three nights a week. Dual DJ booths will get you dancing and rocking in no time, and there's even a restaurant to start off your evening. Spiced-up appetizers, soups, salads and sandwiches are the main fare with an upscale flare, and are available for take-out. Classic rock and roll artists are featured in various renditions on the walls, looking down upon you (or maybe with eyes heavenward) as you lounge in the comfy modern couches with your feet propped on cow skin ottomans. The wide open spaces provide a relaxed atmosphere, pumping with music. Host your private affair in the "Rock Lounge" where you can gaze at the 1,000 gallon rock & roll aquarium. All types of rock are played at the Revolution, Alternative, Classic and Punk, as well as the basic contemporary Rock and Roll. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are live music nights, with singer/songwriters, acoustic, tribute and true local music bands playing. The charge is $5-10, and all money collected goes directly to the bands. A fun feature of the Revolution is the black and white photo booth, to share memories of your adventurous night there with all your apartment buddies! This is a perfect after work or after hours bar, whatever your mood may be, but it's recommended to get there early if you don't want to wait in line.
