December 28, 2025Lived here all 31 years of life and it’s gotten unbearable for actual locals. Too many houses being built for the rich to move here without thought for the locals who do all of the actual work to keep the city working and functional. At 31 I can’t buy a house here on my $50,000 a year salary and I barely afford living since rent is $2,000+ a month for a 2-3 bedroom apartment which is how much I should be paying for a mortgage on a nice 3 bedroom house. Traffic is bad yeah no duh when all we do is build houses for more people to move here on streets that haven’t been updated since the 70s and 80s that’s just common sense! There’s no room for more so stop building apartments that cost tooo much and houses that are out of our budget with homes starting at $500,000 no one wants your cheap construction cookie cutter HOA crap neighborhoods but the wealthy and they are coming from out of state. Build me some brick classic ranch style neighborhoods no HOA and starting rate at $280,000.

February 25, 2025Charleston is a great place to live and work. It's a beautiful coastal area with lots of things to see and do. The downside to living in Charleston is the traffic! The combination of locals and tourists on the roads make it almost impossible to get around. It's also a bit pricey to live in the Holy City...but the charm, views, laid back lifestyle, and Southern hospitality cannot be beat!
