Pizza was practically invented in New York City, so when New York apartment residents are searching for food out on the town for the evening, it makes sense that they would want to stop in at one of the many pizzerias around town. The question, though, is which place is serving up the best pie? For over a century, Lombardi’s has been cooking up the best pie in the five boroughs, setting the standard that all pizzerias follow to this day. They were the first pizza place in the city, and they remain one of the best, as well as one of the most popular spots in New York for folks to grab a bite. Having made pizza for as long as most people can remember, Lombardi’s has had time to perfect to the process. Starting with the crust, achieving the perfect balance of outer crispness and inner-softness, they make their pizza using natural ingredients, including fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. They then top it with some of the best toppings around, from delicious, huge pepperoni to their fresh made meatballs, even clams for one of their most famous pies. The result is a New York delicacy, which keeps visitors from around the country, as well as those apartment-ites living in town, coming back again and again for the delightful flavor. There are certain places a person has to visit to call themselves a New Yorker, so if you’ve never been to Lombardi’s, you can’t really call yourself a New York apartment-ite, so make sure to take a trip over and find out for yourself just what all the hubbub is about.
