March 31, 2026 - Reseña de Apartments.comRENTER BEWARE! Besides the high price point when you choose to live in a townhome. You have to deal with the roach infestation they have it here. If you like waking up in the middle of the night to a roach in your fave this place is for you. Now they are forcing Cox down our throat . It's mandatory! You must pay what they say. Place is trash and the people on the office no nothing. Go find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money.Property Manager Responded

They threatened to sue me
June 1, 2023 - Reseña de Apartments.comThey threatened to sue me for the cost of a window that was vandalized while I was living there, a $370 charge. I filed a police report the day it happened. Had they burned down the whole place would I be expected to pay for the cost of the entire unit? Their property insurance ought to be covering this for them.Property Manager Responded

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!
May 27, 2022 - Reseña de Apartments.comBy far the worst place I ever decided to live. Rent is too much for the quality of the home. Also, they take their time with following up on maintenance request but are quick to tell you what your doing wrong. They watch and report everything you do from the guest you allow in your home up to how long they stay! The walls are very thin and always ridicule tenants for being to “loud”. Constantly have water bugs but charge you monthly for a pest fee. By far the worst decision I ever made. March 29, 2022 - Reseña de Apartments.comDo not spend your hard earned money here.One of the absolutely worst places to live in Newport News , they have HUGE water bugs , they charge a So called “pest fee “ to your rent yet there are plenty water bugs around , their “newly renovated units” has nothing new , floors lift causing you to hurt your feet. We had a leak in our unit that we made them aware of they continued to argue that it was residual and “not a active leak “ until we called state on them regarding the issue. We then had ...water underneath the dry wall that burst open so then they finally moved us out , DID NOT REIMBURSE US we paid every moving expense to the new unit because our lease was still active , the new unit was not better , 1month after living there washer stopped working, sinks would not drain and garbage disposal gave out. I know it’s a long rant but it’s the truth of our experience living there the rent is DEFINITELY not worth living there , Everyone works hard for their money and should not be spent at such a awful place.Leer Más

They want to provide a "aesthetically pleasing community" however they neglect basic amenities like plumbing. The first month we moved in we had sewage back up into our bathtubs upstairs. This occurred at least 6 more times in 2 years. Yes, POOP IN OUR TUB 6 TIMES. On one instance it leaked through our ceiling to our dining room while we had guests over for dinner. We tried to call emergency maintenance ...many many times but no one responded. I have never had issues like that in any place I've lived. And guess what? They said we caused it and charged us to fix it. Um excuse me, it literally happened our first month, this was obviously a preexisting issue. Also, THE BUGS. Our place was constantly having issues with roaches, big and small. Which I am terrified of. We paid for pest control every month, however in order to get it, we had to call the office and get them to send the person out, (again, why is this my responsibility? every other place I've lived they take care of this). Even when I called to schedule it, they only came about 50% of the time (we have a RING so I can see when people come in and out). It was awful. I started a new habit of wearing slippers because I was terrified of accidentally stepping on a roach barefoot. It is the community's responsibility to provide a decent living environment, not the tenants. If we had any other option to get out sooner we would have. Bad rental company
June 23, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comI lived her for 30 years. Apartment never painted. After I moved they charged me 500 for paint treatment. They have big waterbugs, rusty pipes and busted vent pipes, enormous water and sewer bills, slow waterflow in sinks, cracked waters and gap opening in front door which causes air draft (causing high electric bills). No maintenance followup after ceiling leaks. Apartments are remodeled on the surface. However Rusty pipes and electrical not repaired. New tenant had ceiling fall down due to ...water and other issues after living there only one month. Chandler Residental Corp is the new owners. Bad customer relations. Not worth it
November 7, 2020 - Reseña de Apartments.comI’m well aware any rental property isn’t perfect but this one is not great. It is not worth the obscene rent. We had a lot of issues during our short stay with legacy. Come to find out from our neighbors the tenants in our townhouse before us left after 3 months due to the same issues we were having. I have spoken to about 5 other residents with the same issues as well. Pros: wonderful neighbors, spacious townhouse, great location, friendly staff Cons: the entire time we lived there we had ...constant issues with our flooring coming off due to a “mysterious leak” even after having several people come our to “fix” it, it wasn’t fixed and they could find the source of the leak the man who came to fix our floors said that he constantly has to do this because they refuse to fix it properly, the cabinet doors weren’t secure they fell off and we discovered they weren’t even installed with actual screws it was like they put whatever they could find in there, the railing on our stairs fell apart, high rentLeer Más

I signed my lease here about 8 months ago and I am thrilled to say that my family and I love our home and the staff. Jessica is knowledgeable and handles all concerns immediately. Mr Rob our maintenance supervisor is a charm to have around... especially when he is so happy to be here that he breaks out in song ... truly don’t believe the man has a bad day lol Look are these townhomes the Taj Mahal? Heck ...no!! But guess what I don’t pay Taj Mahal rent either...I feel as though my money is well spent and I’m happy. BTW the community events and gifts are AMAZING!!! March 20, 2019 - Reseña de Apartments.comSo my family and I moved in Oct 2018. The day we received our keys and before we moved our things in my husband noticed a huge cockroach! We thought maybe its a water bug... we notified the office of course they acted surprised. As time continue we continue to see the same types of cockroaches all sizes, one was actually in the shower with me. Just last night we one was crawling on our bed.. We sprayed they sprayed.. Keeping it short and to the point if you come here check the utility closet ...where the furnace makes loud noises all throughout the night (its old and dated) you'll see evidence of pest IF YOU REALLY LOOK, AC unit not blowing ICE cold, and look under the bathroom sinks to see the holes where we believed the cockroaches are coming from. But not sure where there coming from. They cover up the problems with paint, flooring, and nice carpet... look before you sign.. I wish I had!!Leer Más
Not worth the money

The area has been built up, but the apartments have not. The management is rude and doesnt care about keeping longtime residents happy. There used to be a waiting list to move in, now the turn around is constant.Property Manager Responded

March 14, 2018 - Reseña de Apartments.comThese apartments have gone downhill over the years. It used to be a quiet and pleasant place to live. Since it has changed management several times since being sold to a corporation it is no longer an ideal place to call home. Nothing ever gets fixed on time, there is lots of weed smoking, there are shootings, cars being broken into and the list goes on. The location is great but please don't let that distract you from the terrible management and living arrangements.Property Manager Responded
