Decent?
March 17, 2024Firstly, and most importantly, the advertised price does not include any of the amenities "included" in rent. The base rent is just that; then add $25/month for trash, $70/month for internet, ~$25/month in water, $14 for their renter's insurance, pet rent if you have a pet, then you pay electric outside of the rent payment, which is anywhere from $70-$130/month for my 500 sq ft studio. Also there is no gym or parking. Parking on the street used to be convenient, but my last year in the building ...was rough due to all the new apartment buildings on the block. The $25/month trash fee was annoying because I lived on the back side of the building next to the door where the trash bins are kept and would always just walk my own trash out, however it is a mandatory fee. Given that the trash people only come Sunday-Thursday and not on any holiday, I found that to be an unneccesary and inconvenient charge. They also only supplied 5-6 regular household street bins for the entire building's trash so the outside of the building under my windows was always trashy and the bins overflowing. My neighbor tried a couple times to ask management to clean the building's outside windows but he said both his work requests were denied, and if you look at the builidng it is dirty all over. The old company used to have cleaners come through very regularly, but Real Property does not seem to care for their tenants and only cares for making money. They continue to raise rent every year without any ammenities or reasoning. Given these reasons and that there is next-to-zero privacy between units, I found a building nearby with a gym, parking, and newer units for a cheaper price.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Look Elsewhere
October 30, 2023Would not recommend leasing a property managed by this organization. They are frustratingly difficult to get ahold of, will overcharge you for everything, and the unit was not clean/fit for move in. I hope that they did not charge the previous tenant their security deposit because they clearly did not use it to clean and fix the unit up. The refrigerator is missing shelves and has loose glass - they won't fix it. It took over a month after I had moved in for them to finally get a mail-key to me. ...You have to call multiple times to move along the maintenance requests, otherwise nothing happens. Again, I would highly recommend looking into other options before renting anything managed by this company.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Property managers straight up lie
July 14, 2023Was told via email that I would be given 24 hours notice before any showings of the apartment I am moving out of and they scheduled one less than an hour in advance. Such a joke. Don't rent from RPM if you have any self respect.Review from Apartments.com
Real Property Management is a joke
June 5, 2023Terrible management, paper thin walls, zero amenities (whoops—I forgot about the recent installment of a 50 sq ft "dog park" (fenced-in area with waste bags)), distrustful/unreachable staff. Pay a little more elsewhere and you'll get much more than what's being offered here.Review from Apartments.com
Do not live here
May 3, 2023Incompetent property management team. Trash in the hallways and on the sidewalk everyday. They will not fix your maintenance issues and if they do it will take them weeks. Our AC broke, our oven broke, and our microwave broke, all in one year of living here because they cheap out on everything. In the year we lived here, we had four different property managers, none of who could be easily contacted. This is not just my experience, it’s many many people in this building. There’s tons of vacant ...units and if you make the mistake of moving in, you’ll see why.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
