Awful
May 22, 2022Be @ axon is one of the worst apartments I have ever lived at. The actual apartment itself is great but the unit to unit noise is unbelievable. You hear neighbors from each side (music, conversations) and EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. the upstairs neighbor takes. I can even hear them sometimes opening/closing cupboards. For the rent we're paying I can't believe the insulation can be this bad. Staff is beyond unhelpful. An actual quote from an email I received from them: "sounds like regular apartment ...living!" And it might be. But even apartments I've been in that were less than half this price had better insulation. If sound is an issue for you PLEASE look elsewhere.Property Manager Responded

Terrible
May 15, 2021Terrible place to rent. The Greenway is gone with the light rail construction and they won’t reduce rent because of it. The grills haven’t been working for years. The garage keeps getting broken into. The building has been literally shaking from the construction. They promised community events every month when we moved in several years ago and that hasn’t happened.Review from Apartments.com
Can't beat the location!
September 28, 2015I live in the divine alcove floor plan which is perfect size for 1 person. Location is 2 blocks from lake calhoun and is on the greenway bike path. I love that the apartment feels a bit secluded and overlook the trees and pool yet is minutes from Uptown. Staff are always friendly and residents are great. Only negative I have to say is the 10 pm close time for the pool and grilling area. Other than that I have had a great experience at Be and would recommend the apartment.Review from Apartments.com

August 16, 2015Be@Calhoun is the place to be. Be@Calhoun is in a great location, it's near the chain of lakes, lots of great restaurants to walk. Although you are next door neighbors to uptown, you get the feel of a neighborhood. It is located right on the bike trail which provides easy access to downtown and most suburbs. They have lost of amenities. You have access to 3 pools, one of them is indoors you can enjoy all year round along with a hot tub and sauna. They also have a theater, tanning and several ...community areas which one of them is located on sixth floor giving you a great view! They are pet friendly. If you like pets but want to not be so close, they do offer on floor pet free. The staff is helpful and friendly. They take pride in making sure all the common areas are clean. Oh I almost forgot, for the days you don't want to jump on the trails to do your daily workout, they have 3 gyms. The equipment is new and they have several different cardio machine, strength training machines and a great range of weights! September 1, 2015In the 'be' building I walk down the hallways and it reads 'be' Dynamic, 'be' Amazing! When I enter the elevator it says 'be' Uplifted or in the party room 'be' social, in the fitness room 'be' fit! Our concierge can make any day sunny! My beautiful studio apartment is walking distance to gorgeous lakes, a Whole Foods and restaurants. My apartment has high ceilings, stainless steel appliances,and a stacked washer and dryer, like other many other places but I know you cannot find a more ...fun-loving community housed in an uplifting complex which makes this apartment my home.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Seriously Awesome
July 23, 2015When I first moved to Minneapolis I lived Downtown near the convention centre. I had no idea where to go before moving up here from the south and found the first available reasonably (by my post college student standards) priced apartment. I was miserable. For the longest time when I rode my bike along Cedar Lake trail and the Midtown Greenway I would see this apartment building and think it was way to upscale and out of my price range. Fast-forward to a year later when I wanted to move into ...the Uptown area to be near more people near my age and this was one of the apartments I happened upon while searching, never making the connection of it being the building I passed on the trail behind the building. My roommate and I had multiple tours set-up for the day, but this was our first viewing, and we instantly loved it. The building itself is very new and feels alive. Do you want amenities? Because this place has them like crazy. While having access to all the areas like the gym and pool for this building (as well as free 'rentable' party rooms), you also gain access to the amenities over at the Calhoun Greenway building, including an indoor pool and sauna as well as multiple other rentable party rooms. The apartments themselves are very upscale. With granite counter tops as well as kitchen islands and tons of cabinet space, you can make full use of the kitchen. The bathrooms are nicer than any hotel I've been in with a very large soaking tub. The closets are nearly as large as the dorms I had back in school. While not being in full-blown Uptown, I have actually found this to be much better than I thought. Not only is rent significantly cheaper and more affordable, we have a much more peaceful area without being in the more suburban St. Louis Park. Instead of having to deal with the terrible traffic near Lake street, we have easy access to our building with minimal traffic. Whenever we want to go out, we can either hop on the greenway and ride into Uptown or walk if we're inclined. With Lake Calhoun right there within sight, I have never had problems getting out and having a good time. Just BE
August 13, 2015This is one of the few times that I would give props to my husband. We had to move up to Minneapolis for his job and he came up a few times to find an apartment. It was a bit of a change going from living in a 3 bedrooom house to a 1 bedroom apartment but I don't think I can go back. This apartment complex is awesome, has just about any amenities you could ever need and you can't beat the location: right off the Greenway and 1 mile from Uptown, MN. The building itself is less than 2 years ...old so all the appliances were brand new. The kitchen has nice granite counter top and stainless steel appliances. I love the high efficiency in unit washer and dryer. The gym is pretty well equipped with machines, free weights and treadmills. The pool is always clean with a nice lounge area. The staff does a great job at keeping all common areas clean. Maintenance responds quickly to your needs and they leave you a treat (popcorn) when they complete the job. The complimentary starbucks coffee machine in the lobby is a very welcome touch for us caffeine addicts. Everyone from maintenance to the concierge is very friendly and always helpful.
