Where do I start
December 5, 2022I really would not recommend this building even to my worse enemy. I have been here 3+ years and cannot wait to move out!! The building has turned into a wastelands. They have let unqualified and deranged folks into building. The building has SUPER thin walls, in fact I can hear my neighbors using bathroom and hear their movies playing all night. To make things worse, I live close to an exit door which SLAMS all night. Building used to be quiet but that certainly feels like ages ago.Review from Apartments.com
Would not recommend
September 28, 2022I personally would not recommend this condo building. I used to live here for 1 year and thankfully ended up moving out because of the noise and crowd that was starting to take over... I still have 2 pals there and they say it has gotten consistently worse. She says the walls must be thinning out because she can hear her neighbors talking on the phone and in bed. The elevator has been down for 3 months and they have not been able to fix it either. The concierge is also changing quick and are very ...transient. Do yourself a favor
August 2, 2022Just moved out of this building last month and found myself a cheaper apt. off Memorial Drive within a 8-10 min walk of Downtown and right across the beautiful Bayou Park. I would definitely NOT recommend this building. The walls are VERY THIN and the insulation is VERY POOR. You can hear neighbors using the bathroom, slamming their doors, and the plumbing going down from other floors. For the amount residents pay to live here, it is not worth the headaches, money and stress. Since pandemic, the ...building did away with background checks so younger crowds took over pool area and would play loud music during the day as if it is a fraternity house. The one benefit of building is that there are luxury restaurants within 1-2 min walk and the Astros ballpark is a 2-3 min walk. There is also valet parking sometimes. But in reality, the positives don't come close to outweighing the negatives. Do yourself a favor and look at an apartment building where the insulation is properly installed and where you won't be hearing your neighbors peeing and opening doors.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Do not stay here beware
April 1, 2022Leasing here has been a nightmare. The building is subpar for the price. I’ll be updating this review next week on all platforms. They delete honest reviews and charge so many hidden fees. Hallway walls are dirty with filthy carpets as well. The dog park is atrocious but poolside furniture is filthy and outdated. Definitely not worth the price at all. So many horrible things have happened at this place, I don’t understand why they treat their residents this way when we all know the truth about ...this property. July 27, 2021I have toured this property and found this to be more awesome than other properties I have toured. The amenities are nice. The service concierge Andy is awesome. Terrible Management
May 15, 2019The new management at the Catalyst has made it almost unlivable and I would no longer recommend this complex to anyone. The management will try and charge you for everything and you are caught fighting with them on the charges while they note that any unpaid amount is automatically sent to collections (so you either pay while disputing or they will attempt to hurt your credit). They have also sent erroneous eviction notices. Since the new management was brought it, there have also been ...increased security concerns while someone was attacked in the building in a manner that was preventable and the response was completely inadequate. Further, management will no longer maintain the building to the standards that match the amount paid each month (for example, the trash compactor has been broken for months and management refuses to fix it, which causes trash to back up onto the floors every weekend causing a terrible smell. I like the leasing staff and concierge staff, but would not recommend this apartment building.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
terrible experience so far
May 31, 2018My experience at this complex has been very negative so far and I would not recommend for anyone to live here. To add insult to injury, I received a 300$ fine today with NO warning for placing 4 boxes in the trash chute. I received no warning and had no idea this was a rule to begin with. Any apartment complex that cares at all about their residents would have given a warning before giving four separate 75$ fines at one time. Obviously these boxes were placed in the trash chute over a series of ...several days. Instead of a warning or one fine, they waited until I have accrued multiple fines before notifying me about them.Property Manager Responded
