May 3, 2017Again, the location can not be beat if you want to be in the heart of Old Town. Remember that Old Town is very loud and very busy, this was not a problem for me but you should know that prior to moving in. As for the building, the staff and the up keep of the overall property I would say it is very very sub par, especially for what you have to pay. I haven't even lived here a year and the building already looks extremely worn. The hallways are gross, they smell terrible and no one ever seems to ...clean them. The common areas are never kept clean and therefor can never be used to their full potential. The apartments are very poorly built and the maintenance team does not seem to be concerned with requests. I currently have mold growing in the shower, but when I brought it up they just told me it was impossible. Pretty funny to be told I don't know what mold looks like. You can hear every sound your neighbors make, both through the walls and ceiling. The management company I originally rented from sold the property in the middle of my lease and the new company that came in is terrible. Cottonwoods customer service is the worse I have ever seen. I have been renting from managed properties all across the country for the last 10 years and I have never had such a bad experience. As you can tell from all my complaints I am not a fan of this place and I would not recommend it. With all the issues this place has, if that staff was more client friendly instead of being flat out rude and unhelpful you could probably put up with everything else. My one piece of advice is not to be fooled by the tour and how nice they are before you sign, the second you do sign, it all changes. STAY AWAY!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Pro and Con
October 17, 2016We have lived here since March 2016 and also are paying more than it's worth. The apartment above our bedroom sounds like they are dancing with wood shoes all night long. We got used to the yelling up till 3am outside when the bars shut down but now the golf carts seem to be much more active on the side alley, this seems to be a new route for them. We like the place, environment , gym, pool and location. We don't like only one parking space for a two bedroom and no additional parking available , ...would gladly pay for that. We will make our desision to stay based on what management desires to do when our lease is up for renewal. If they raise the rent we are leaving. Moved in last December...
May 4, 2016Since moving in last December, I've become really disappointed with The Stetson overall. I do love the location... It's the main reason I moved in here. And there are a lot of amenities that are top notch... nice workout room, pool, lounge etc. The staff has even been friendly and accommodating. However, the construction is lacking... I have people living above me and I can hear every footstep they make. It's not only loud... it's really loud! They owners must have cut some costs/corners to save ...some money. Another problem I have is that they did not seal the countertops correctly and many of the tenants have experienced some staining. Management has been emailing us and talking about repairing the issue for the last four months... and nothing's been done about it.
