I regret living here
December 7, 2021Out of control crime at the property. Do not believe management - the security is a joke and cars are broken into all the time and packages get stolen on a DAILY basis. Very unsafe. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Management literally does not care that their residents are getting robbed.Property Manager Responded

Not a Safe Community
December 3, 2021I only gave a one star because 0 stars wasn’t an option. This property has issues with homeless people sleeping in the hallways, cars being broken into, and packages being stolen on a NIGHTLY basis, and based off some reviews it seems like this has been a problem for years. Residents voice their concerns for the lack of safety provided by Camden, with no action being taken by management other than them telling us they are sorry, and to just file a police report. Management has not provided one ...single example on how they are trying to improve the security of this place. I can’t not say it enough, but DO NOT MOVE HERE, IT IS NOT SAFE!!Property Manager Responded

We understand that crime can and does happen, but we are working to find a solution to reduce however we can the crime that does occur. It’s OK
February 15, 2020I loved my apartment, and Jose was the best leasing agent hands down. Maintenance was also incredible. Unfortunately my car was broken into... the interior was badly damaged, knowing management would do nothing about it, I didn't even bother asking. I also had multiple packages stolen which cost me a couple hundred dollars. I learned my lesson and opened a PO Box. I did want to stay and downsize to a 1 bedroom, however there was some mis communication so I had to find an apartment in 2 days and ...was a few days late on my 60 day notice, which I now owe them $400+ for. You would think having been a resident of Camden properties for 3 years and the fact my car literally got broken into so bad I had to buy a new one with no help from insurance, they would help in anyway. I can assure you management will not work with you on most issues. Otherwise I’d say deal with Jose, get a PO Box, and take everything out of your car and you’ll have a great experience!Property Manager Responded

Has Great Potential but Unsafe and clearly NOT a Gated Community
September 23, 2019I have been living at Camden Victory Park for a little over 9 months, and while I enjoy the proximity to AAC and VP’s restaurants, the spacious rooms, high ceilings, well-appointed finishes and amenities inside my apartment and the responsive maintenance team, I am truly concerned about the lack of security at CVP and would caution anyone considering moving here. We had packages being stolen for months and even today packages delivered go missing and residents post on the community wall looking ...for their items. In this day and age of Amazon Prime, it is hard to imagine a lifestyle where one cannot order things online only because the “CVP thief” will get to them before you do. Currently, cars are being broken into. Third ongoing problem is we constantly have event parking inside CVP garage and IMO the office seem to be promoting that by not towing cars without the Camden green sticker. By ignoring this behavior for months, we are only letting strangers into our "gated building" (which by the way is a huge joke - CVP is no way a gated community with the lack of security we have here). My concerns constantly fall on deaf ears and we never get specific action from management other than let’s talk about this directly. This community has so much potential but the lack of surveillance and security makes us an easy target for a lot of nuisance and thefts.Property Manager Responded

We want to accommodate residents and their guests, which is why we provide guest parking on the rooftop of our parking garage. Vehicles without Camden parking stickers are subject to tow. Loving it!
January 27, 2019I just moved in last week and the Camden is awesome! Jose has been extremely helpful from the time I took a tour (and signed the lease that same day!) to helping out with any random questions I've had. Not bad - can find better
August 22, 2018I wanted to leave this here for others to get an honest overview of it, before they decide where to live. The bad - there have been recent and prior security issues here. Sure, this can happen anywhere, especially in an urban setting. That was an explanation for the first string of incidents (mostly break-ins). Camden acted, and added security measures. Everything was great for awhile... and then they released a statement saying that they were making changes to the security policy. They ...sugarcoated it with a ton of fluff, but at the core it meant they decided to save $$$ by no longer keeping a security guard. Two weeks later, a couple residents found their cars on blocks, all 4 wheels stolen. Camden's response is seen by everyone in the community as lacking... they've scheduled a few "neighborhood watch" meetings and have promised to eventually add some security back, but that it would take a while. This wouldn't have happened at all if the residents didn't voice collective outrage. No matter their plan, I question what may happen in the future? If they've made bad decisions about the security of their property, how are we to have faith they won't do it again? The good- The daily employees that work here are mostly wonderful. The guys/girls in the office are always friendly, and much more competent than what we've dealt with at other complexes. The maintenance team is the same way. These people on the front lines are one of the bright spots. The problems come from Camden being such large company bureaucracy and putting profits above residents. Other great parts of living here are access to the Katy Trail, proximity to Love Field, and being pretty close to all that Dallas has to offer. It is unfortunately out of walking distance to most places.. we still end up ubering or driving ALOT... not much going on here when there's not a concert/game I have also mostly been a fan of the apartment's finishes. The fixtures, floor, and overall aesthetic inside are nice. The common areas (hallways/elevators/walkways) are somewhat disappointing. I've have guests surprised how nice my apartment was after taking a tired elevator and dreary hallway to get to it. The appliances are nice The verdict - you could do worse than CVP, but you can definitely do better. With the plethora of options in Dallas, start elsewhere to find something 1)where you get more for your money, or 2) you get something comparable and save moneyProperty Manager Responded

Faulty online system
October 7, 2016The apartment is nice itself but the current management is unequipped. My first month paying rent, I was charged a late fee AFTER paying my rent on time. Bringing the issue to Lisa came to no avail and I was forced to pay, with the promise that it would be refunded after providing screenshots, which I did. Lisa only chose to return half of my payment. My second month, the system was completely down and I received nothing but error messages and coding error pages. Being able to pay rent online is ...a necessity to me that I discussed at move in, as I travel for work. Bringing the issue and again bringing screenshots to the team, I was again forced to pay a late fee through no fault of my own. I was told it would be refunded, however was not. Now bringing us to my third month - my online system actually worked! Fantastic! Until 3 days later when I get a call from Lisa AGAIN - but this time she states that they "could not find my bank." Funny - as it is the same account I use for everything including this building. I tried to speak to her about the situation and she spoke over me and was completely disrespectful. Not only am I not paying a HIGHER late fee (again, punished for paying my rent on time) but also a fee to return my payment FOR NO REASON. We are now brought to $220 of additional fees for a faulty system. I will not be staying and I would not advise anyone who can not physically drop off a check each month to consider moving elsewhere.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Beautiful Community
May 5, 2016I recently moved into Camden Victory Park and couldn't be happier. I love the apartment and upgraded features. Their apartments come equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, cable TV, internet, and trash pickup service--very convenient! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The gorgeous pool just opened and I can't wait to spend this weekend poolside. Maintenance is prompt and courteous. They are very pet-friendly. We enjoy taking our dog on walks on the Katy Trail and are looking ...forward to the dog park!
